I'm writing a stage play based on the 80's comic book Spaced. This will be my second unproduced play, after Maison Ikkoku: The Musical.

Keep in mind that in the "bad future" where B5 is attacked, the commander is still Sinclair…
Also (minor spoilers) I liked how the Emperor dealt with it, allowing two warring families to fight it out among themselves. Of course if he had any brains he would have killed the winner to save his own skin. Shaddam IV for example had the right idea but he didn't count on the Fremen…
For those who don't know this, Melissa's sister is Sarah Gilbert of Roseanne and The Talk fame…
"Alone Again, Naturally" and "Cat's In The Cradle" come to mind
Agreed, and that's why I think Garibaldi's speech to G'Kar is probably the most important thing that character's ever said. Also what Vir says later on about Londo, and how sometimes they're right and you have to give them the benefit of the doubt.
Oh yeah I was going to say that I for a moment thought you said Irene Cara had some great "tits"!
For some reason I always thought it was Irene Cara, and I liked the songs. All they ever played on board the Enterprise in TNG was jazz and classical music, as if Earth pop culture had stayed in the 1940's for a century or so.
Claudia in that awful-looking neck brace thing trying desperately not to laugh while everyone made those ponderous speeches is one of the cringe-iest parts of the whole series…
Me too. Perhaps, knowing that the old laws said that the caste of the last survivor of the test would be the dominant caste, he made the claim so as to honor Delenn's attempted sacrifice. He saw humans and Minbari prepared to die for her, and she prepared to die for the Rangers, and felt that should be rewarded.
I'm in general agreement with our Delenn that it's a better story if instead of Babylon 4 and 5, it's the original Babylon station and what we're seeing is Babylon 2. I still find the idea of Babylon 5 being kinda like Monty Python's Swamp Castle to be, well, a little ludicrous.
They were married for a while :)
I didn't see it mentioned, but Frakes also directed the live action Thunderbirds movie, featuring the great Ben Kingsley…
BB had his moments, he was certainly good enough to star, and be entertaining, in an atypical spy/cop show (Scarecrow And Mrs. King), but no one was ever going to picture him winning an Emmy or anything. A solid actor, not a great one.
RIP Mr. Ansara. Any man who had sex with Barbara Eden automatically gets in the Manly Man Hall Of Fame regardless of what else he's done.
Oh I hadn't seen Lensman, so I didn't know that. Of course there's nothing wrong with being inspired by other series, that's pretty much standard for all entertainment…
Well I was referring more to imagery than anything else in terms of inspiration…and the Vorlons are themselves hiding their true appearance. Being familiar with the novel, it was no surprise to me when Kosh finally revealed himself, I saw it coming from day one. But I don't think you needed to have read the novel to…
Of course when he eventually did find out, well…you could make an argument that he came out ahead…
The Vorlons seem to be very much inspired by the Overlords from Arthur C. Clark's brilliant novel Childhood's End, though the Overlords looked much more like demons and had no angelic alter-egos.
Vir is Claudius to Cartagia's Caligula.
