Snowbird literally ripping out Sasquatch's heart was a real eye-popper. Of course, this is superhero comics, so even that didn't kill him.

Well don't get me wrong, I certainly WANT FTL travel to be possible: if we want to become an interstellar race, it's certainly necessary. Why we would have to lie about such a discovery now, however, doesn't make sense, we did so back then for obvious reasons of national security.

The best sci-fi is always about the people and not the tech. It's about how we adapt to technology, allow it to change us, or how we remain the same in the face of technological change.

Billy Mumy has been a professional actor since before he was ten years old, and starred in movies with people like James Stewart and Brigitte Bardot, as well as TV shows like "The Twilight Zone", so I'm not surprised at how good he was in this series.

Also, jump gate/hyperspace is bad physics; to the best of our knowledge, one simply cannot exceed light speed. But jump gates/teleportation devices, etc., serve a purpose: without jump gates or otherwise breaking the laws of physics, no interstellar travel, no story. So we accept the immortality serum as a means to…

Vorlon ships often used the jump gate rather than forming their own, at least when coming to or leaving from, B5. So do ships of every race. That's what it's there for, why waste energy?

"Points Of Departure" was the first show I actually saw, so I had no idea of what had gone on before, so the latter is true. I am not a religious person at heart, but I respect how the Minbari must have felt.
