Just straight up destroying an opposing army is different than capturing an army and breaking up supply lines.

The battle didn't take place in the Reach. They had marched the gold to King's Landing. They were outside King's Landing which is not far away from Dragonstone.

To be fair, Bronn/Jamie could have realistically killed Dany in that fight. Once she was forced to land anyone could have picked her off with an arrow, it just happened that Jamie only had one hand.

Even if I don't discuss politics with my coworkers a "Hilary for Prison" bumper sticker helps

Like, how are you supposed to get through any meaningful interaction without … sheesh.

- The horn doesn't even get mentions in the movie, or have any attention to it called. It is just a thing Roland has on him I would not notice if I had not read the books.

There's a girl I know who was a cheerleader (and for further context African American) who is also absurdly good at math. But there is constant idea she bucks up against STEM is not her domain. If she didn't have such a strong personality or was just a B student, I wonder how differently college would have gone for

The sentiment that there should be more women in power is not the same as supporting individual women whose political positions who do not agree with.

Using the book's flashbacks would have been a lot better than what they did here.

Now that I've seen the movie, that answer does hold for me (although it was one I willing to accept if it resulted in a good movie). This movie is too inconsistent with the books to function as "This is what happens when Roland starts his journey with the Horn of Eld." which would have honestly been a really cool way

It is even worse than I expected.

The first book was pretty simple.

Yeah, the end of Season 3 is basically the time to switch Fringe off. It is a weirdly ambiguous ending, but whatever.

Now that I've seen the movie, if there was a sequel (and I doubt it) so much has changed that I highly doubt you could do an accurate adaptation of Book 2 and Susannah now.

Well, I doubt more Dark Tower movies are getting made anyway. And this movie changes so much that a direct adaptation of that book couldn't happen.

Now that I've seen the movie. It is a serious let down on that level. I don't think the Horn of Eld is even mentioned (although we see Roland wearing it).

- You've got to develop one universe first before the concept of world hoping feels meaningful

I was totally ready to accept this as "Oh well, this is the next cycle. So don't expect it to directly regard anything with the books." But it is so horriblly inconsistent with the source material on every level (and just an awful movie in its own right) that I just couldn't take it.

There is more New York in this movie than Mid-World, which is ridiculous.

I actually liked the crazy gun reloading. But there aren't any good action scenes in this movie at all. Even when Roland is shooting up the Dixie Pig at the end, it is all generally uninspired stuff.
