Glad to find a thread where I can proudly state that I own Harper's Island on DVD.

Thanks for bringing us this interview, Todd. Any further insight on the ratings for the season? I know the early story was that there was a big drop after a strong premiere, but the live + numbers were supposed to make up for some of the drop. Are the cable networks less sensitive to the live numbers, or the ratings

I like Seth Meyers and Weekend Update; for me, it's usually one of the strongest parts of the show. But this week, it was the low point of an otherwise excellent episode.

Liked for use of "agency." Did we go to grad school together?

I've never read Le Carre. Where do I start? I need some good spy craft/political thriller to help me get from The Americans to what is hopefully a more nuanced season of Homeland.

I especially didn't get the ham thing. Its premise seemed to be, "fat people doing physical activity is funny."

@DrMedicine:disqus I tried so hard to conceal my laughter (at work) at the Dead Weight Express Bus that I had to pretend I was coughing. Well done.

I watch CSI, and I hate myself for it. But I think George Eads is dreamy.

@avclub-0dad24dc5419076f64f2ba93833b354e:disqus My 81-year-old grandmother, RIP, loved Two and a Half Men. She would be near-asleep in her wheelchair and crack up at the sex jokes. (My grandmother also said that, if she could relive her life, she would be a prostitute and get tattoos.)

I've been watching Face Off, so I feel qualified to say that Zombie Merle had bad makeup.

Have you ever completed a GSA contract? I'm surprised your average auto repair shop would be doing that.

Just catching up on my DVR'd episodes, so I'm late to the party on this one.

Super late to the party on this one (stockpiled episodes on DVR), but I generally agree with what you're saying. Seeing Phillip as a loyal soldier brings me out of the viewing experience to question whether or not that is believable.

I DVR'd all the episodes and am watching them now, so I'm late to the party on this one. But YES I think you are absolutely right about this imagery/symbolism.

I think AMC put on an alt-Clear episode for me. Because I was not watching an A-worthy episode (I think a B- is fair). Things felt really forced (the Erin bit, finding Morgan alive, driving back to Rick's town—geography in this series is hard to figure out). This episode ended in the same place as it began, both

I literally LOL'd when Carol was all, "Yeah, and we lost T-Dog, too!" It was awkward in its obviousness. Yes, Carol, let's continue to name drop the character that no one else ever talks about.

May I suggest @avclub-4c56ff4ce4aaf9573aa5dff913df997a:disqus jump full-force into the Beyonce love with these: http://www.etsy.com/listing…

Dexter returns June 30th. That's weird, right? Why move it from the fall line up?

Fear not, @avclub-85d8ce590ad8981ca2c8286f79f59954:disqus. Brody does not go undercover as Saul. Mr. O'Neal is pandering to our collective admiration of the great gray beard. However, do not watch the video linked in the story (or otherwise read about the Homeland acceptance speech at the Golden Globes on Sunday). In

    I think I love you
