I hated the scene in the donut shop.

I thought it was hilariously ridiculous that the assasin claimed to be the Avon lady. The Koshka brotherhood needs to update its cultural references, perhaps allow its hitmen to watch movies other than Edward Scissorhands. Seriously, how else would a Ukranian mobster know Avon ladies went door to door once upon a time?

Dennis might be my favorite TV character of all time, ever. I want a mash-up video of all his appearances played on a continuous loop.

I don't see anything wrong with the tv governor. I think it's sweet that he keeps his zombie daughter around (until we enter comics territory). It made me sad for him, but probably because I don't know what I would do if my child turned. I'm willing to overlook his killing of the guardsmen; I rationalize it by

Reading about Homeland on the AV Club and coming across a reference to Theodore Dreiser (or, rather, the movie adaptation of his book)…this is truly a nerd's sanctuary. Thank you!

@avclub-d7f43e1fb2d4977c86163d9b0cb07814:disqus  I whole-heartedly agree. That was my point. At the same time, this is television, and very little is outside the realm of possibility. I don't think it would happen, but less expected things have happened on Homeland.

I really enjoyed Aileen freaking out on Saul. It was so emotional and sad and sympathetic…I was disappointed her character/acting wasn't used more, after that scene. (I know, I know. There would be no point in Aileen hanging around.)

My sister is a nurse in a prison, and she gets paged to deal with suicide attempts. I don't think they're as common as in the magical world of tv, but I don't think it's an out-of-reach option for a determined prisoner.

I don't think it's that Homeland *should* have ended after season one. I think the argument is that if Homeland had been a 12-episode mini-series, imagine the greatness that could have been created. If the show was self-contained in such a finite number of episodes, plots and character development would have been much

I rewatched the season 2 trailer after Brody was taken down in the hotel room(http://www.youtube.com/watc… and was amazed to see that every previewed scene happened in the first third of the season. The trailer looks like an amazingly fulfilling season (and I think it could have been stretched into a full season
