I'll agree with a small part. Breaking Bad is a great show but it has gotten blown out of proportion recently. It's like a really good action movie. Yeah it's great and entertaining but it's still an action movie. IMO it does not deserve to be considered within the The Sopranos, The Wire, Mad Men, and Deadwood

This kind of smug bullshit really pisses me off. Chase himself just said IT DOESNT MATTER. Freakin' drop it already. He could be dead he could not be. Suck it. Seriously

I think he genuinely didn't realize it would be so controversial. I had someone tell me that they thought the scene invalidated the entire show and that he'd never watch the series again and warned other people not to because of it. Needless to say we haven't spoken since.

Gilligan is going to have the same problem ending Breaking Bad in that whatever he does people will say he passed judgement on Walter. Personally I think Breaking Bad is a great show but nowhere near as rich as The Sopranos. Breaking Bad is like an a great action movie. It's great, but it's still just an action movie

Exactly, Tony hasn't even learned a lesson that he spouted out without thinking back in Season 1. He said it, but he doesn't really believe it

I think it's pretty clear from Chase's comments two days ago that the purpose of that last scene is to show life 'being ripped away' from the viewer's point of view. He says they 'understood it emotionally but not intellectually'. The heightened sense of tension and suspense was there so that the ripping away would be

David Chase spoke out on the finale! How has the AV Club not written about this yet?! Here is his quote:
To me the question is not whether Tony lived or died, and that's all that people wanted to know: "Well, did he live or did he die? You didn't finish the show. You didn't answer the question." That's preposterous.

Because the arguments regarding 'is Tony a sociopath' have really been getting more intense as we near the end, I'd just like to say the followwing: the term sociopath is just a freakin' label. It's just something that allows people to say they understand somebody that they really can't understand. It's a crutch. It's
