Best pop culture moment
When Amelie started referring to Celia as Baby Martha Plimpton after I called her that in the comments. She never thanked me, but she did thank the bitch who changed her name to Grandma Martha Plimpton. So I guess it was the worst, too. I haven't been able to take Tyra seriously ever since,

I'm sure Noel Murray will be glad to pass your feelings on to Mr. Murphy.

Switters, I stand corrected. And gay. Very, very gay.

I tend to side with Keith on this. Some scores may reveal more textures with repeated listenings, but the songs have to land at the moment they're presented. They don't all have to be break-out hits like "Memory" or "People," but they do have to make an impression.

I remember cringing in my seat during "Cinema Italiano" at one of Yeston's lyrics. I don't remember the exact line, but it was terrible and rhymed with "P.O.V."

It doesn't always work, but I really enjoyed watching the film.

You forgot to mention how hot Daniel Day-Lewis is in this movie.
Nine (the movie) walks a curious line. It's based on a musical that's based on a far superior (and far more well-known) film. But Nine (the musical) is less a musical version of 8 1/2 than it is a musical *inspired* by 8 1/2. Which leaves Marshall, or

Stonewall, we've been calling you all breeders for decades.

But what of Klaus?
When Stan entered his own heaven, Klaus was still mounted on the wall. I hope that's not permanent. Maybe it's an alternate "Christmas ep reality," like The Simpsons and Halloween.

I also really wanted to see Haley's heaven.

What are you talking about? How do phrases like "random, overly broad wackiness," "Gomer Pyle in an NBC blazer," "an even more regrettable misstep," "a typically shrill, one-note Jenna" and "a little rote and familiar" not explain what Rabin dislikes about the show?

that's about right
I pretty much agree with you guys. I'm still tying to figure out if the ending was genuinely enigmatic or just bullshit.

As soon as they explained EGOT I was hoping for a Rita Moreno cameo.

@wolfmansRazor - Maybe, but he kisses like a straight guy.

Anyong.

Just say no…
Nabes, I say this as someone who cared enough to buy and read your book. Panel TV shows are probably never going to be a successful part of your life.

On his ding-a-ling?

What did Brian tell the FC dad to do to his wife? I know it was bleeped, but I was watching this with a fever and couldn't figure it out. Was it bitch slap?

Right there with you, idiotking…

I missed the very beginning
Did they explain where Manjula's other seven kids were?
