well, it does have nell carter
The original Broadway cast recording of "Ain't Misbehavin'" turned down low is wonderfully atmospheric and enstrengthening.

Guido rhymes with Guido and Italian rhymes with Italian.
I'm all for the film. But I keep thinking of it as an adaptation of the musical and not as a remake of 8 1/2 (because a remake of 8 1/2 would be moronic). Also I think CHICAGO is seriously underrated by movie geeks. I'm afraid it looks like Marshall is taking

I watched part of one episode (she was interviewing Diahann Carroll). The set moves. Like, the dais where she and her guests sit moves back and forth across the set.

@D - "At the cinema?" Ooh, la la, Mr. Frenchman. It's called a movie-hole.

You boys keep me young
Jeanne Gold was one of Roger's most inspired personae.

I've been using an abbreviate "Christ on a Crucicracker!" since I read your book. That's just some good swearin'.

Both
I think they'll develop it further, and then abandon it.

And by"sge," I meant "she."

Sge almost saved the show. But the rest of it was so awash in suckitude…

Worst Bea Arthur impersonation ever
Bea Arthur could do a better Bea Arthur. From the gra-a-a-a-ave…

Agamemnon?
Your granddaughter is gonna have some big problems.

I had no idea that picture of Zero was from the morgue, but it freaked me out anyway. He has creepy Meg Foster eyes.

Dgl, I wasn't referring to comments like these - there's nothing overzealous about them. I'm talking about the general ambiance of hostility behind some of the comments on this one review.

i don't get you people
Some of these comments have made little sense to me. The reason the show was so good in the first place was because of the characters. The reason most comedies are good is because of great characters. I really liked Kenneth at first because, even though hill person, he wasn't some hayseed

"People who don't agree with me are elitist snobs! Condescension rules!"

so thanks for that
The first ep of Community I saw was from a couple of weeks ago, with the poolside trial. Thought it was lame. But you said it wasn't as good as the other eps so I gave it another chance. And it was awesome.

Suspiria
Razor wire.

The creepy-crawls freaked me out more than anything else in Helter Skelter. Even Sadie's description of the kid in the car as "that thing we killed" didn't bother me as much as the idea that people could be crawling around your house at night without you knowing.

*DVD-R

not a fan of this whole thing
I know that DVD-on-demand is supposed to bring about the release of films that would never have seen the light of day otherwise, but I'm starting to think it's preventing some films from getting a wide release. As long as people are willing to pay way too much for a DVR, why bother
