Silly and fun - there's so many ideas in his worldbuilding I don't see how you could get bored. It's sci-fi for those into the humanities.

15 years after quitting I'm now constantly craving cigarettes.

Wait - you told me you were a wallet inspector!

Self-enslaved system developer.

Drink heavily but *don't* call in sick.  Be at your desk a half hour late and screaming drunk.

I read the series and enjoyed them.  If you liked the first you'll likely like the rest.  There are diminishing returns as you get farther in though.  The Nursery Crimes books are pretty good too.

I really enjoyed The Eyre Affair too.  It's got the highest silly-idea-to-page ratio of any book ever.

INTP.  I worked at a place that did corporate training and lived by this crap.  There were a bunch of neo-Mithraists running the place, it was like something out of Focault's Pendulum.

Who is Jar-Jar Galt?

You mean Bloomberg?

I recommend "Grave of the Fireflies".  It's like "When the Wind Blows" but more depressing.
