I thought the visuals were excellent.  The CGI really had a sense of weight and I loved the art direction and world building.

I loved it.  If you can accept the basic premise that the best solution humanity can come up with when invaded by giant monsters is to build giant robots to punch them in the face then everything else is gravy.
