I hadn't thought of that.  I do remember being a kid in the early 70s and there still being shorts before movies - living in Canada, these would frequently be NFB shorts, so generally very high quality.  And I do remember some shorts (like Hot Stuff, a personal favourite) but not the movies I saw after them.

Worse than a daughter, a *teenage* daughter.  I never knew whether to be afraid to have a boy because I knew what being a teenaged boy was like or afraid to have a girl because I knew what being a teenaged boy was like.

I'm a middle aged and married father who's been doing computer stuff for longer than many people on this board have been alive.  When I was young I followed my dreams and I am still paying the price.

I personally find that moustache's work best with beards.  I keep mine trimmed when I don't want to look like Grizzly Adams.

I used to go to an old Greek guy who had come out of retirement - not for that "just one last haircut" thing, nor for the "I try to leave but they keep pulling me back in" thing.  At least, not to my knowledge.

It's hard to say goodbye to an old account.  I did it a few years back. I don't think there's much of an institutional memory in the comentariat here, the new you will be absorbed into the hive mind pretty quickly.
