I used to drink it as a teenager because I was poor and mathematically inclined and calculated that it was the cheapest ethanol I could buy.
I hadn't thought of that. I do remember being a kid in the early 70s and there still being shorts before movies - living in Canada, these would frequently be NFB shorts, so generally very high quality. And I do remember some shorts (like Hot Stuff, a personal favourite) but not the movies I saw after them.

I used to go to an old Greek guy who had come out of retirement - not for that "just one last haircut" thing, nor for the "I try to leave but they keep pulling me back in" thing. At least, not to my knowledge.
