Did anyone else get the impression that Eli scoped out that Alicia was drunk at the announcement? She kept smiling that weird smile.

My husband's family went to the same family camp in Michigan each summer for over 40 years.  It was called a resort, but it had cabins with no amenities except a view of the lake, a central dining hall and a central bathhouse. There were group activities on the same day each week - talent shows and the like - and

Longest lasting line from Blazing Saddles:  "Hello, boys!"  My husband never tires of it.

Sometimes the mood swings can be caused by changes in diet.  I have both a brother and a brother-in-law who were seriously affected psychologically by chemical changes in their bodies - macrobiotic diet in one case and blood sugar imbalance in the other.  It could be that some of his problems are triggered by the

My all time favorite Silent Niles scene was the Thanksgiving preparation while Frasier and Lilith were trying to bribe their child's way into a better school. Go to 17.33 to see the scene

At times, Sherri's resemblance to Sandra Bullock is disconcerting, but there is no doubt about her intelligence.

He really is ridiculously handsome - and aware of it.  Being treated as something special is probably normal for him, and being made aware of his serious shortcomings in the social side of the game might just sharpen him up.

I am probably not the best judge of that since 1) I never saw The Wire and 2) I lived through Katrina and the aftermath in New Orleans and 3) I love this city like a person.

Treme will break your heart.  If you watch from the beginning, the Liam character, Sonny, is seriously despicable, then finally starts becoming an acceptable human being toward the end of last season, although he's a good musician throughout.

For Treme, there is a Times Picayune writer, Dave Walker, who does a blog explaining the inside references and identifying the musicians.  Since I live in New Orleans, I don't need it much for that show, but I would love to know if there's something similar for this show.  I'm sure I'm missing references and I would

When did Rayna and Deacon fight?  You mention it twice, but I don't remember anything  between the two of them except a pointless meeting in the park.

For some reason, I was fascinated by all the men's hair this episode - I don't know if there a new hairdresser, but they all had perfectly pleasing contours.

Michiel Huisman is quite a good musician.  We've been having him around here in New Orleans for a while now (I believe he's bought a house here) because he's been a musician character on Treme.

I'm not sure how Irvin Mayfield can keep playing himself without seeing the irony.
