Meh!
Pretty slow month indeed - nothing here that would make me stop listening to Sasquatch or even the new Apocalyptica.

They need a Paul Stanley one that'll access some world-class lead singer chatter!

I haven't seen the Fringe comic, but I'm surprised that someone hasn't cashed in with a ZFT Manual tie-in. You'd think that'd work, wouldn't you?

The first appearance of "Walternate"?
I'm watching S1 on DVD, and am fascinated by all of the early reveals of future plot devices - for instance, was this the first appearance of "Walternate", or was Walter simply being delusional? In one of the out-takes on the DVD, they also showed us a discussion regarding

Meh, I liked the final scene where Vincent came over to the dying Jack. You'd have to have a heart of stone not to recognize that scene as pretty much perfect.

Toronto Maple Leafs
"Original Six" Years - consistently competitive - 2nd most successful team overall.

Back in the day, in Toronto, I saw Joey Ramone hit in the head with an orange. The incident quickly ended the concert, but nobody was there to see punk rock - it was a decidedly classic rock bill.

I promise not to comedy…

Exactly! John Noble pretty much carried Fringe on his back towards respectability in S2. An amazing job. Is there no justice?!

The Thing!
The opening sequence, where they were shooting at the dog from the helicopter. Wow. Loved Kurt Russell and the special effects. Great sense of paranoia.

I found the book to be a little too dragged out, but man the movies were awesome. Who know Matt Damon (sp?) could be an action star?

Not necessarily the best album to work out to, but it certainly does bring the noise, doesn't it?!

Ditto on LOST. Loved the Pilot all the way through to the Finale.

Meh on Arcade Fire. I still have a couple of tracks from Funeral on the old ipod, but none of the new stuff has made any impact whatsoever. So much so, that I'm starting to second-guess all the hype.

Up here in Soviet Canuckistan, Tim Horton's is the behemoth. I prefer McDonald's coffee, and have been renting from BB less and less each passing month.

Twister Christian

Gimme Isis any day…

I loved "Under The Dome"'s pacing. For 1100+ pages, King truly did keep the pedal to the metal. I could have used a more satisfying fall for "Big Jim", but the rest was pure gold.

Nah, Cameron's got it figured out - which movies become blockbusters? The ones with the great special effects, and minimal story. (See: Titanic, Transformers, and any movie based on a comic book…)

Alternative is just as puzzling as Classic Rock. And the playlists are just as short. Surely, Nirvana and Stone Temple Pilots made more than the 2-3 songs you always seem to hear on Alt-Rock stations!
