I can't believe I'm letting myself get excited for this. I was intolerably hyped for the film too, and it remains the only movie I've ever walked out of (and I sat through ALL of The Cat in the Hat in theaters).

:) Happy to help. And be ready. Things in Yharnam have now officially gone from Bad to Worse.
Its a huge pain getting your prescription checked for the eyes that grow on your brain. Believe me.
I'm exaggerating for effect, but it took me 20 tries at least.
YES. Like, when a certain gem says it gives you "+12% damage against the Kin," its not unreasonable to expect that either the game or the manual will explain which enemies are "Kin."
I know. There's a difference between challenging the player, and outright refusing to explain things. Without looking at online guides there's no way I would have figured out what half of the starts and doodads in Bloodbourne did.
DO YOU SEE? DO YOU SEE??!!
I don't know what it is, but that damn Blood-Starved Beast annihilated me and my whole family at first too. There's other later bosses that are objectively harder, but some combination of my character build, skill level at the time, and that bosses mechanix made that the biggest roadblock for me…
Those guys are funny though. Those swollen blood-sac things they have dangling under them look like enormous scrotums.
For some reason Ebrietas wasn't that hard for me, but I'm not trying to act like some uber-player. it took me well over 50 tries to beat the Blood-Starved Beast the first time.
I NEVER NOTICED THAT!! GAHHHHH!!!
Just make sure you don't beat the final boss before you find them, or you'll have to do NG+ to get back to them.
…You'll know it when you see it…
Martyr Logarius is a great boss too. Tough, but not as teeth-gnashingly frustrating as some of the other bosses (*cough* Shadows of Yharnam on NG+ *cough*). Cool backstory too. I like that he rewards you for being the kind of nerd who reads all the item descriptions, as otherwise it's not exactly clear what you…
Those students are amazing. I love crashing their endless lecture and slaughtering the lot of 'em.
I won't tell you how to do them, but don't miss out on the aforementioned Upper Cathedral Ward or Cainhurst. They are both very easy to miss, and are two of the best areas in the game. Cainhurst has my vote for the very best, actually.
It gets worse when you get enough Insight and figure out EXACTLY WHAT WAS PICKING YOU UP.
Oh yeah, Bloodbourne is cruel and awesome like that. And it has so many hidden moments like this that are incredibly easy to miss. My first time through I completely missed the Upper Cathedral Ward. The only reason I tortured myself with NG+ was so I could get to that area.
I NEVER PICKED UP ON THAT! The Altar of Despair is another Rom?
That moment was amazing. But since Patches the Spider kinda sets you up for it, it's not nearly as jarring as when you suddenly find yourself in the Gaol.
