LA Vice, Insult Comic, Continental Breakfast & the gunpoint/Freeze! sketch from tonight

Asylum was a much better season of television than this.

Seems like lots of commenters and (especially) Phil Dyess-Nugent are really down on this season. Am I alone in thinking this season has been hilarious, and it's maybe the most consistent season on a laughs-per-episode basis, even if the show doesn't have as much depth to its storytelling as it once did?

I'm really not feeling this show. It's only 8 episodes in and it already feels like it's even more of a muddled mess than the current season of TVD. The mythology of this world has simply become too unwieldy to tell compelling new stories. Spin-off was ill advised, and it makes me want to give up on both shows.

If I have to hear "Hello, my shadow self" one more time I'm gonna lose it

But way back when the writers said that, they were still writing a good show

Marcel looks so happy in that photo

Why does everyone call him by his first and last names at all times? "Dar Adal this, Dar Adal that, Dar Adal! Dar Adal!" It sounds like the name of a Star Wars character.

But Jimmy has fancy plans! And pants to match.

He really is. I loved how he passed out right in the middle of doing Ellen's signature hop-into-sitting-cross-legged-on-her-chair move. This cast is so good and this was the best episode yet. I'm gonna miss it when it's inevitably canceled.

I'm having the same problem with these two shows lately. Both feel so watered-down and muddled compared to the meth-like high of TVD at its peak a couple years ago.

The SNL writers *do* have to deal with Lorne Michaels and NBC. That can't be good for the creative process. But yes, Key & Peele is the best sketch show on television.

I think the abundance of recurring sketches this season is very likely due to the larger episode order (13 this year vs. 10 last year vs. 8 in season one.) I agree that this was too soon to bring back the valet guys again, but as long as K&P can still generate hilarious fresh sketches like Mr. T and the insult comic,

The second episode this season was grade A television. But other than that it's been hit-and-miss for me. I'm kind of over Stevie.

The Salamanca cousins are on Amazing Race this season?

I was enjoying Sean Saves the World… until tonight's episode. The scene where Sean Hayes was hamming it up with his character's date for no less than 5 minutes was groan-inducing and painful to watch. The workplace supporting cast is what works for me, but clearly NBC is more interested in having Sean Hayes mug for

I was going to watch this episode but then I read that Elijah is still daggered and lost all interest. I guess I'll just jump back in when he's finally up and walking around again.

swap out Brooklyn for Trophy Wife and I concur

This show feels more like a video game that you can't actually play than it does a dramatic television series
