Perhaps it's the fact that the show has chosen not to make here eyes red? Just a thought? Also, since i listened to audiobook, Roy Dotrice's reading of Melisandre was always bone chilling.

I'm really happy they got right to Crestor's Keep, because to my recollection it was a ways into the book, and i just remember the John Snow storyline taking FOREVER to kick in. Here it's got some pulse! Also, I absolutely LOVED the Robb Jaime scene. I think it will continue to make me sad seeing Robb be such a

A) C'mon, that Bowling scene was horrible. It was the show being Glee! I didn't get into this show to watch another Glee!

Having read the (actually pretty great) script I can say she was who came to mind when reading the role. Thrilled with this!

As a Kid: I LOVED Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and loved the movies even more…… all the movies, except… Part III. Who gives an eff if they go back to  1500's feudal Japan?! Give me Mutants, and Shredder, and crazy Manhattan shinnanigans, and real 1990s Pizza! I wish I was of age and could have gone into "Unforgiven"

This was my thought, specifically to how great the acting was… "Subtext in STARES!!!" I mean, that moment just captured so much that no Dialog could EVER compete with. It was remarkable, followed by Julia's freak out in the empty room. You completely FELT exactly what she was feeling!

For the first time, probably since 1995, I really enjoyed this show.

Seriously, who raises one eye skeptically better than Bonnie Bedelia?

And since the Commentariat are making lists, i guess I shall too…

you guys forgot one key one on the list. I absolutely LOVE "Reasonable Discussions". It's an instant listen the minute it's downloaded, as much as the ones you listed.

It really was him.

Yes on FNL. Rare a pilot gives you exactly what the show will actually be. And yes, the brilliance of "The Son" was exactly as mentioned. And I'd add "Always", the finale, to the list, except what use is recommending a finale to START with?

Wrong, it was a FLIPCAM commercial. Wasn't it obvious? Don't most people have photo-montage-sequences in their regular lives?

Maybe as a small child, like, say if it were Jabar sitting on Haddie's lap, er something…

I'm so happy we're having this discussion, because some networks :::coughs:::ABC, have all but forgotten the rich tradition, favoring a Woooooshed in Title with ambient noise, because, hey, that's how they did it on Lost. Grey's Anatomy even ditched it's theme sequence, for the simpler Title (am i the only one that

RE: "Louie, Bored To Death and now How to Make It… Grand Central Station is doing booming TV business of late."

RE: Renée Zelwegger… she bugs me tremendously too, but I did feel she completely disappeared into the role of Roxy Heart in "Chicago", may have been the definitive version of that role stage and film.

The only network this appears to work on is CBS, where virtually all it's shows are hits. So a show "low-rated" by it's standards (but would be huge on NBC or ABC), like "The Good Wife" can be kept around since it's the network's ONLY prestige show (read, draws affluent viewers). And in advertising there are only two

HBO is probably the only network that values it's repeat airings, knowing that people who missed a certain time slot, can catch it again, IF THEY don't watch OnDemand or HBOGo.

Dude, "How To Make it in America" is actually GOOD compared to Entourage though.
