Well this is boring, no obvious mistakes to complain about. Its almost as if CBS schedulers are somewhat competent.

I'm not sure the P&R comparison is valid. The hate of libraries is treated as a ridiculous irrational one, but the midwifery hatred in this came from a real place, with the midwifes rolling over to Mindys argument and having no comeback. In P&R the character hates libraries but the shows acknowledges its ridiculous.…

@avclub-832d86d3a05e2b4973c329471ee9d6c4:disqus I'm not saying they should focus on low readership reviews. Just that maybe they shouldn't cancel every series with low readership. For example Peep Show reviews were recently threatened to be stopped if numbers didn't go up. (I'd argue that if you can't get AV Club…
I still wish AV Club could do a couple of low readership review series. Surely the website is big enough that doing a series that appeals to a small audience that might not currently read the site is worth it, to try to attract the new audience (people who love pre 90s sitcoms like Newhart might not be interested in…
Yesterday it got a 0.8 and a 1.0. An inevitable dip after the media declaring it "cancelled". If FOX was going to do a delayed renewal, they've done it badly, as the public has seen it reported as cancelled. A lot of press work would be required to avoid people thinking new Cleveland episodes are not repeats,…
Hes Joe Lo Truglio. He appears in everything written/directed by David Wain et al. So stuff like Childrens Hospital, The State etc.
Yeah. Wasting (probably) the last fall they can use X Factor as a good lead in on Glee, who surely has been sampled by everyone who might enjoy it already, is an odd move.
Thats why I'm hoping X Factor / American Idol at least drop significantly enough for FOX to commit less hours a week to them. A two (or one) hour FOX sitcom block has a good chance of doing well against a waning ABC Wednesday.
FOX really need a new hit. All their big shows seem to be losing popularity at a faster rate than other networks. (X Factor, American Idol, Glee, and to some extent New Girl)
-They at least have shows spare to use as replacements if they end up with another Mob Doctor-esque week 1 failure.
Don't underestimate the value of the midseason rookie. It will get Winter Olympics lead-in and advertising, and the only NBC sitcom 'hits' of recent years (The Office and P&R) launched midseason. Assuming its semi-successful, a short run this year could be followed by a move to Thursday assuming at least one of the…
-Putting a procedural, Chicago Fire, behind The Voice makes sense. But I have a feeling Revolution will suffer from the move away from the Voice.
Why did you link Spotted Ratings the week before my exams start? So many ranking formulas and charts to look at. No work will get done.
I was getting worried that I'd got this far into the comments and no-one had brought it up yet. I'm not sure I've ever even asked anyone who they vote for, let alone avoided contact depending on their answer. I know its more of a black and white issue in America than elsewhere where there are party's that fill in the…
I assume just boss. Or maybe executive producer (with each year, the amount of executive producers each show has seems to increase) Before the increased media focus on behind the scenes stuff, I doubt many people outside the shows staff needed a name for the position.
That's impossible. If Patton Oswalt said something, I would have heard about it on AVC, in a Great Job Internet or Newswire piece.
