But Bobs Burgers got a 0.9 last night. Its ratings have collapsed massively since moving to the 7pm hour, and surely too far to become a Simpsons replacement
It has had creative lows since the 80's. Look at 2004-2006, Celebrity Apprentice, Joey and WIll and Grace. It will probably bounce back soon.
Thats a bit unfair, if you take away every networks best show they are gonna be in bad shape. What would CBS be like without The Big Bang Theory, what would ABC be like without Scandal, what would Fox be like without…..errrr?
Its not like their aren't viewers ready to watch NBC on Thursday either, as The Sound of Music Live, and even the iHeartRadio special showed. They just need a cohesive set of shows.
This has never made sense but especially now. Shows are more often getting renewed based on "international revenue" so why not foster support for your show around the world.
Yeah I agree with your reasons, but I also think the years of jokes about NBC on 30 Rock are partly to blame. Also the people who post on boards like these are likely to be watching stuff like P&R, Community and Hannibal so if they only pay attention to the ratings of shows they watch then they might get the wrong…
Marry Me looks like it could have been a good Thursday block show if it came a couple of years ago. Being from David Caspe, the writer of Happy Endings, starring Ken Marino and Casey Wilson. I haven't seen the trailer but based on the basic facts it looks designed to be the "internets favourite" sitcom for next…
It seems like NBC needs a better publicist. So many people still seem to think they're still last.
I don't watch the show, or know any fans of it (not surprising when you look at viewership levels), so I can't comment on their shittiness. But I get sick of TVBTN's condescending writing style, and would make a similar comment if they got any other prediction this wrong (unless it was a show I like getting cancelled)
Neither do I, and I would have predicted it to be cancelled if I did that sort of thing. But when they are so certain that they mock people with a differennt view, its good to see them fail.
They renewed Beauty and the Beast. Tv By the Numbers gave this a 10%/5% chance of happening and mocked B&TB fans in the comments earlier in the year for using "Fan Excuse(s) [Bingo]" when commenters said (accurately as today proves) that it had a chance of renewal.
NBC: We aren't getting any better, but everyone else is getting much worse.
Foxs comedy departments policy is just to pick up anything NBC rejects.
The Mindy Project, Brooklyn 99, Mulaney. For some reason they seem to be trying to emulate NBCs Thursday.
They upload all the sketches to youtube on sundays, which work in my non-hulu area (UK).
Nah. Ben Whishaw. Specifically when he was in Nathan Barley.
This is the first generation where I have no idea which console I will end up getting. Looking at the upcoming exclusives, nothing sticks out. These console overviews that have been written ultimately don't really give me any distinct features to base a decision on. As long as play game is the main tile then the rest…
Ah my mistake. I remember watching it in the previous school/tv September-June year, forgetting that this isn't the relevant time period for a year end list.
Its been hard keeping track of this day to day so thanks for doing the list.
It was listed under the unnecessary subcategory Best Of Video.
