http://tvbythenumbers.zap2i… This site gives a night by night comparison of viewership, as well as a weekly updating feature for each channel showing which shows are likely to get cancelled. I look at it every now and then and quickly got a feel for what is considered a good or bad amount of viewers for each channel.

I enjoyed Freaks and Geeks but only got around to watching it many years after it was cancelled, like so many did. As for his films, I enjoyed the first couple I watched (40 y/o virgin and superbad) but have since come to find his films a bit repetitive.

Yeah, I have never understood how an episode that features so much Zoidberg and Calculon can be so maligned. Then again I never considered any episode of Futurama (seasons 1-4) bad so maybe my judgement is clouded.

"My son is not a whale"
"Well whatever it is, he just ate a bucket full of chum"

gutter, and begin staining their bonnets with tears, inconsolable by
even the most scrumptious of Cadbury treats.

I only thought we paid for BBC America as I remember hearing some stand up comedian going on a (misinformed) rant about it.

BBC America has adverts? I was under the impression that us UK citizens were paying for it as part of our tv license.

Yeah I would agree that was the best emotional episode, however if I want to pick a particular one to watch as a standalone episode purely for non-stop laughs, I always go for the episode that gives me my name.

Did they already know they were being cancelled in season 3? That said, season three had by far the most emotional episodes. I'd probably put Godfellas or Time Keeps on Slippin' as my favourite from that season although I wouldn't say any are duds.

Actually it was on newswire (at least the Jason Segel being antsy bit) http://www.avclub.com/artic… . But I am pretty sure Josh Radnor would be the only one worried about their future if this ends.

Yet in this very episode, Homers high school yearbook from 1974 is shown (which would be the year he was born from the perpetual 38-ness). So all we can really conclude is that the writers still aren't completely sure how to deal with a floating timeline.

I couldn't help but be reminded of The Simpsons episode 'Worst Epiode Ever' (which I am aware happened many years after this) where Comic Book Guy and Agnes Skinner have a relationship as it covers very similar ground. With the old-fat partnership and making jokes at each others expense while basing the relationship

This episode was orphantastic.

@avclub-c21cf5e9103365de9f6d4584276ef9ac:disqus http://www.denofgeek.com/ . Its not as good as here but its the best UK tv/film review site I know of.

Most of my non-2011 pop culture I discovered last year was just stuff from the US that isnt readily available here or items from before my time. Highlights include
TV: Breaking Bad, Twin Peaks, The Critic,
Music: TV On The Radio, Streetlight Manifesto,
Books: Philip K. Dick, The Walking Dead (graphic novels)

Exactly the same for me this year. I have watched all the episodes of both shows in the last few months of 2011. It turns out Community is shown on Viva and Breaking Bad on FX UK but theres no way I would have found them without the AV Club.

The Big Bang Theory is another. So from its and Family Guy's lack of mention in either article I would guess the link is that they are popular shows that are running on either goodwill from previous seasons or an audience that doesn't overlap with the AVClub's.

Family Guy is one. But due to the hate it generally gets from this site's commenters, thats not unexpected (and i don't disagree with it not being included in either list)

Also he has seen the Pollos Hermanos CEO (Gus) asking the DEA questions when he was given the tour, as well as offering the entire DEA chicken when one of the cousins was in hospital. Hank should see that Los Pollos Hermanos shows up at meth related events too often for coincidence.

Northern Ireland is in the UK but not Great Britain. Republic of Ireland is in neither.
