I concur!!!!

I hope it contains either the "Doogal" or "Delgo" reviews…
Two of the finest, damned funniest pieces of pop culture criticism I've ever read. I have the former tacked to my wall at work, and it makes me smile on dark and dreary days…

Despite (or maybe as a result of?) being a fan of everyone involved here…
This seems like an extremely banal, weak, and obvious film/trailer.

And, yes, I just used "actually" like seven times in the same wall of text.

I guess I didn't expect amazingness, but I had written this "wall of text" the morning after having seen it and was still revved up on just how banal and borderline terrible in places it was. It was exhausting in the wrong ways. And I've been please with how a few films lately have come up to my expectations,

glad to see others see there's some connection between the two - i will admit that after the first 2, 3 episodes "Kings" started to derail. It just felt really refreshing and conceptually smart/well thought out, but then the longer it would go on, it started feeling like a silly SyFy miniseries, in a way. And i

The episode with the "leak" in it…
Is one of my favorite episodes of any TV show of all time.

He's underrated in "Troy", too - that said, that's about the only time that word could ever be used in relation to that film.

I actually wanted to like Mary Louise Parker, as she was sweet and goofy, but she was also trying to do something for a character that just was NOT there. When the movie gets to that scene where Bruce Willis tells Helen Mirren how he feels about MLP, I was like, "Uh…wow, really? yeah, that's right, there is sort of

I found it to be a disappointing use of him; but then the same could be said of the entire cast.

Bleh
I saw this last night.

I had forgotten about the EP released a few months ago; i didn't purchase it, because it first listen, it was so startlingly not what i love about Sufjan - i.e., Avalanche, Seven Swans, Michigan, etc. But if the consensus is that it's superior to "Adz" then maybe I need to get it and listen for myself…

I should note that my comment was made as someone who's only read reviews, and has not yet heard the album…but I think I'm about to go pick it up at lunch. I have "A Sun Came" and while there are some gens on there, there's also nearly 2/3 of an album i never listened to after the first time, so….hmm… This is

You know what Lee Majors would have to say about this?
"Whaaat? Women are things."

Shades of Radiohead, circa "Kid A" and "Amnesiac"?
The direction Sufjan seems to be stretching in, at least as I interpret off this review (and a few other mini-reviews elsewhere) reminds me of when Thom Yorke decided to take perhaps his greatest asset (voice) and bury it, mutate it, warp it in and around electronic

"Bar-ton Fink! Bar-ton Fink!"

My favorite film of the year thus far
Saw it in Sundance. Amazing. Just absolutely searing, gut-wrenching performances, but largely played in a minor key (read: no theatrical histrionics). I remember the sex being definitely R-rated, but I don't remember it being NC-17 worthy? Maybe because it just felt real and,

ASS!
*insert stomping/clunking sound*

Steve Luisi!
Wow, I haven't thought of "Stairway to Stardom" for a while now. A few years back, I was sent/stumbled upon the All The Kings Men clips….genius.

Well that's just thoroughly depressing…
Decent magazine. The description of the employees leaving - which sounds strangely sudden? - is pretty grim.
