That Girl!
It looks like she is levitating a butt-plug in a bubble to me. She's a naughty girl. I like.

Stop! Arrgggh! Paul Wall….Oh! Great example. Glad that twisted and screwed thing is dead. Go back to the trailer park please in your 2001 Civic with trash can exhaust. Take your fake gold chain and your rotwieller with you.

Wife Beaters
The Michael Rapaport character reminds me of these white dude here in Little Rock that just about have themselves convinced that they are truly black. And the way they talk just makes me want to kill them. They talk in this lazy mumbled slang. I wish every black person who heard a white person talking

Please, Please don't drag the Bushter into this. Then again, his 8 year has done enough to inspire some new blues. Yeah, I know Lightning Hopkins…Hey, are there any Blues artists from Maine or New Hampshire?

GILF
So, Meryl Streep was born in 1949…that gal's got a lot of moxie to be singin' and dancin' in a musical at her age. She is almost as old as the members of ABBA.

THAT Voice!
Personally, I just enjoy hear this man talk. What a great voice…and instantly recognizable.
Any chance on Texas style blues making the cut here? Maybe some Albert "Frozen Alive" Collins? This section is an excellent addition to the AV Club.

Let's Get Physical
I still like vinyl and cd's for the physicallity…I get to touch the product, read the liner notes, sometimes even see the lyrics.

Nikki?
was she on that show where this dude went down in the basement and talked to stuffed animals a lot?
I kinda like the woman who played her mom. She had a great voice…

Oh, no, Elvis is the absolute Rock-and-Roll STAR. I mean, we can talk about the Beatles, the Stones, Dylan…but none of them compare to Elvis when it came to being a star. And the man had real talent. He could take a song by another artist and do something wonderful with it. All I was pointing out was that his fate was

Some Damn Hard Livin'
I absolutely love this section on Vintage Blues. A few years back, PBS had a special on the Delta and Blues. This one guy they interviewed said "when you were born and raised in the Delta, you already started life ripped-off." That is one of the most insightful comments I have ever heard about my

Time Flies
You know, 1994 was almost 15 years ago. That is actually quite a long time. Someone on here in another thread highlighted how little pop culture and styles have changed in those 15 years…that 1994 and 2008 are very similar.

Laugh out Loud Funny
The one thing I learned from this…some of those older movie trailers were cool as hell. That 'Cruising' trailer is kinda neat. And watching Jane Russel in silence was intersting.

I am glad I am not alone in reading Andrew Vachss. He is an interesting person and a great author. He would make a good AV Club interview. Somewhere there is an interview posted with him and he sounds just like I imagine Burke sounding. Some time ago he was in the process of getting "Flood" turned into a movie. I

Down in the Zero
Thank You for pointing out Henske. I have wanted to hear her every since I pickup up my first Andrew Vacchs book in the Burke series.

The Body of Christ
I was in my teenage years when Dallas was on the air. I remember that my parents were in a bowling league and every friday night I would be at the bowling alley playing Space Invaders and watching The Dukes of Hazard and Dallas.

Yes they do indeed. Here in the "Rock" it is quite nice to go buy groceries during the week when all the wealthier women are out rocking their sporty outfits. Not sure most of them work out, but they look kinda tasty though.

Book of the Month
I saw this on sale a my local Wal-Mart here in Little Rock. So I was thinking it might not be great even though the premise sounds cool. Why could not the alien infest porn stars or meth addicts or TV televangelists or the Pope? Or why don't they infest animals? God! A self conscious herd of cows

Sanity
The most amazing thing to me about Dylan is that this cat has been able to hold on to his sanity all these years or not developed a deep hatred for fellow human beings. He has fame that is beyond fame.

Ha! At least one person picked up on my lame joke. I just thought Kim Catrall looked Diane Keatonish in that picture above.

Scat in the City

Carrie…played by Rosario Dawson
