I've wanted Purefoy for Mance for ages.  I think anyone who's watched Rome knows that he can pull it off fantastically.  He's got the charm and the physical strength, which SPOILER is required based on the scene in ADWD when he beats the crap out of Jon.  He's got some brute strength.
