It even had the blue rose (I think it was a blue rose) in the throne room. It was in stained glass right across from Dany when she first walked in. No attention was paid to it, but it was certainly there. Although now I'm wondering if there's always some stained glass there in the throne room.

@HobbesMkii:disqus He'd have to be something more than that though, because we've seen other Nights Watch men who were turned into murderous wrights. It's possible that we'll just never get a deeper explanation, but there's gotta be something more than just the Night's Watch oath.

His hands were black because (SPOILER FROM BOOK 5) when blood isn't pumping it pools in the extremities, so his hands are full of old, dead blood. Coldhands says as much when he's traveling north with Bran n folks.

Not to keep fighting this, 'cause if you don't like it go ahead and don't like it, but what I meant is that the show is based on books and those characters weren't chosen to be killed off because the actor is expensive. The Tickler wasn't killed because the actor was expensive. Renly wasn't killed because the actor…
