I didn't get that. I think I'm glad I didn't. There's a good chance I would've died (ya know, from all the laughter) if I did. I even know the line, I just didn't make the connection.

I used to listen to Adam Carolla's podcasts until it started feeling like homework. It was the same with the Kevin and Bean show podcasts (I grew up in LA and have lived on the east coast for the last 7 years, so I missed them). The trick is to let go of thinking that you have to listen to every single podcast…
It's amazing how annoyed people get when you actually do read the entire contract before signing it. I was moving to an apartment in NYC with a buddy of mine after law school and we both sat in the apartment manager's office reading every page of the 55 page lease (they wouldn't let us take it home when we initially…
SPOILER-IFIC!
But I think that's the point. Can Theon achieve some sort of redemption after all this time? He has to believe he can, or he might as well go full on evil (not that the Bolton bastard would let him). He had a fantastic arc in ADWD (I especially loved that his name kept on changing and was happier than I probably…
SPOILER - kind of
I listen to them while making dinner, working out or on my commute. I have a solid backlog, but that just makes me more selective about which ones I listen to. As soon as you drop the feeling that you have to listen to them all it becomes easy.
This is exactly why I worry about the CBB show on IFC. Aukerman will necessarily have to be the show's driving force, if only because it'll be more difficult to get guests on the show than it would be to get them onto the podcast (significantly less of a time commitment).
You should be embarrassed, but not because of that.
Weird Al always strikes me as the happiest, most positive person in comedy. It's like he decided there was something that he wanted to do and found a way to do it, and is incredibly happy and wants nothing more than to share it. It's totally refreshing after so much negativity. Best part about it is that it never…
This week's Comedy Bang Bang was one of the best in recent memory. Ben Schwartz deserves a regular guest spot on CBB. I really wouldn't mind a few PFT spots being pulled so that Schwartz can show up more. I don't think (and refuse to go check!) that PFT and Schwartz have ever been on together. The call backs to…
You used to have nightmares that the Muppets would turn feral and kill Jason Segel? That's… oddly prescient.
DENTAL PLAN!
Insomnia took me two tries to get through, but I was glad that I did. It wasn't his best work, but it was worth the time.
I was more convinced by their super-liminal efforts.
I used to think that it was the ghosts, but after re watching it I'm thinking that you can absolutely conclude that it was the bartender. On the one hand he recognizes just how horrible it is to be in Babylon, but on the other hand he might just want some relief from being stuck with the ghosts.
My guess is they play it off like this. Barney is getting married to Robin. Marshall keeps insisting that he won't pay off the bet in side scenes with Robin. We see Ted talking to a woman and Marshall wanders into their conversation. He talks with them for a few minutes, excuses himself, then walks to Lily and…
I went to a Doug Loves Movies taping in NYC a few months ago (it had the super size me guy) and loved it, even though I didn't really think the episode was that great when I listened to it later. Just being there is great, Dough is fantastic at building up the energy in the live show. I'd totally try to be a regular…
How is the pay one? I'm generally so behind on listening to podcasts that I like that I don't think it's worth it to actually pay for them, but I love Who Charted and PFT. If it's any good I'll probably pick it up.
I can't remember a Desmond episode that wasn't both awesome and monumental in terms of plot development.
