I don't know why this show is so anti-calzone. Calzones are awesome. I would totally go to a Low-Cal Calzone Zone. I would get a punch card and eat there often enough to get a free Calzone.

I'm not sure that I can fairly judge this show anymore. I love everything about every episode. I think the chemistry in the group is fantastic. It's like they found out how to make a show specifically based on what I like about TV comedies.
I only watched the series on DVD (until season 4 started) and never knew that they reversed the order of these episodes. Or maybe I'm just remembering it wrong. In any event, I remember thinking that Francie was a double at the end of Phase One and actually think that moment worked out just fine.
I saw "Top Hat" and immediately wondered if either Bravo or the History channel had a new reality competition show about designing hat.
I was going to say before you beat me to it, but it seemed like this CBB was recorded sometime last year, or at least long enough ago that Todd Glass was surprised that Scott was bringing up the grammys.
I've liked all of them so far, but I keep thinking that she's going to run out of material eventually and they're going to become terrible. I hope PFT stops including them before they get bad. They haven't yet, so at least so far he's earned the benefit of the doubt.

It is a thing at the Brooklyn IKEA (which, unless they went to the one out in Jersey is where they went). My girlfriend and I used to go every so often (they have a ferry that takes you there from the financial district in Manhattan) and no phones work in the building 'cause it's so far set off…
I like her segments on the Tompcast, and actually like her a lot on other people's podcasts, but I didn't find her stuff to be all that good. It's good enough that I listened to the entire thing and laughed at it, but I don't think I'd make an effort to go see her live or to go buy another of her albums.
I've watched all of Modern Family so far, and I'm not sure there's any good reason why Julie Bowen and her husband (his name escapes me) are together. Minor slip ups piss her off and he constantly screws up. There's just no affection in their relationship.
Paul seems like a pretty down to earth guy also. He's probably fairly intense in real life, but he comes off very well in the show.
I was wondering the same thing while watching it last night. Then I eventually gave up and drank more.
Yeah, I think they must've gotten a new editor or had some problems, the entire show has felt off for the last few episodes.
Paul has definitely been the best so far, but as they've said before, it's all about who cooks the best meal on that day. I'm curious to see how they change / develop with their time off between being in Texas and showing up in BC.
I completely agree, but for a different reason. I'd think they'd have taken the car so that they could actually cook in the elimination challenge. If it was straight immunity but you still had to compete, then I'd say go for it. But as it was, her mentor (and the judges) saw her pussy out and take the day off.
There's a Top Chef: Canada?! I'm gonna look this up.
Seinfeld gives him to that guy for the NSX. He's the "last surviving munchkin."
I suppose it could have been Justin himself, but if anything he'd have to be doing it unconsciously. Killing kids is a big step, and one that I don't think Justin has worked himself up to yet. Also, what would be the point?
I remember thinking that too, and unless it's contradicted in future episodes that I don't remember, that's what I think again. She obviously knows Justin is in pain, but is skeptical of his "calling." Knowing Justin is stubborn and that, at very least, Justin believes in his calling, she starts the fire to release…
I agree. The sketches are very strong, but the hosted segments are terrible and feel very off. They're not doing live sketches, so why do they even bother? I don't think the show needs a through-line, which is probably why they're doing it.
The fact that the doctor didn't laugh after it was what made the entire thing work. That kind of beat is usually loud (the one delivered after the quiet beat of the other guy explaining that humor was how he dealt with big issues), but it just worked perfectly being subtle. It was a great sketch.
