Animal Collective?

I live on an island. I would literally need to go in an aeroplane over the sea to see them. I'll have to think about it.

I'm surprised I had to go this far down in the comments to find one non-snarky "hey, this is pretty cool" comment.

I, too, enjoy Michael Mann's pre-Heat ouvre but a second remake is not necessary.

Oh yes, I remember this. I actually wat this first, then the original one posted above. This one works better.

What's that officer? Just watering the geroniums.

So many things from that show I say all the time.

I loved the repeated references to Murray's bulldog, Toby. There was a scene where Murray said he was using the Flight of the Conchords brand mousepads to line Toby's kennel, and in a later scene, tries to sell Greg a chewed up FotC mousepad. That type of clever-but-not-too-clever callback is one of the things I loved

My girlfriend and I often end up singing along to this song together in the car "caaah".

"They're like 'where's the caaah' and we're more like 'where's the caah'"

Oh man, I miss those MST3K Saturday mornings. We didn't get Comedy Central (or was it on Sci-Fi? Totally forgot.) in our basic cable lineup until 2002 or so, though I did watch it at my parents' house (they actually introduced me to the show). Once we did, though, Saturday mornings became sacrosanct.

Back in *my* day, we only had Scooby-Doo reruns and Space Ghost Coast to Coast to get high to.

I don't know if it will be good or bad, but I do know that there will be a lot of complaining about it.

This is what we in the "math biz" call a "back-of-the-envelope calculation."

I'm not sure if the subtext of your comment is "why don't they make fun of conservatives", but in case it is, I'd say Jimmy Pesto is a good example of a "conservative" foil on the show. He seems like a Reagan republican, a seemingly upstanding business owner who, in reality, is a mean-spirited hypocrite with certain

I only bring up hippies because I grew up around hippies, I know all kinds of hippies, and I love many of them and find many others insufferable. And I also know that they can be humorously satirized, or be the butt of broad stereotype jokes. And hippy culture has been subverted and commercialized quite a bit,

That's definitely not a unique, modern, 2013 problem. See: hippies of all generations.

Will he be wearing a white suit? Will there be confetti and lots of colored lights?Videos and cameras? BUBBLES?

Well, it's not like you get to keep the car or get your money back for it. So there's that.

If not for the Jon Benjamin/Home Movies connection, I'd never have started watching it. And the occasional cameos by Melissa Bardin Galsky are always a treat. But if you're looking for Home Movies v2, you'll be disappointed. It really is its own show and you'll like-it-or-not on its own terms.
