So this is true. A Russian professor told me about emphatic negatives and how confusing he found it when he first started speaking English. I don't care for double negatives. They're useless constructs* that only exist to give pedantic grammarians one more thing they can point out and correct.

Oh I know lots of people who hate it. My girlfriend hates it. I've introduced it to people who I thought would like it, and they hated it. It's a show that appeals to a very specific sense of humor, I guess.
