Internet art trends that are overdone to the point of ridiculousness:

16 year old me: Fuck Yeah.

I wonder why this kind of nonsense bothers me, but I'm totally fine with Wayne Coyne.

If you think about it, Machina is basically "Delusions of Grandeur III: God is talking to me."

I can't tell if he's actually worse or if I just matured to the point where I could see that he's always been terrible. I've not been able to tolerate the guy since Zwan, but it is amusing to see just how, um, "interesting" he's become.

Well hearing a once vaguely clever joke once, then repeated like ten zillion times to people who also have made the same vaguely clever joke ten zillion times tends to be more annoying than funny. That's all.

This movie has a legacy in our family. Now and forever we refer to my sister's family as the Bumpuses.

ADWD was a slog for a while, but it was an interesting slog.

I have a long story I won't share here, but it involves me trying not to laugh while giving a presentation that repeatedly references a theorem called The Tits Alternative.

The only Zucker I care about is the one who teamed up with Cox to make their glorious machine.

Kings was literally the only (major network) show in recent memory where I watched the premiere and was genuinely, unreservedly excited by its potential. Which means it's probably my fault it got cancelled.

I kind of agree, but it's because I'm hypersensitive to bad arguments and people who don't know what critical thinking is. Also, I get annoyed when passion is substituted for critical thinking. Someone's argument may not hold water, but it's okay because they really, really, really believe it. I'm pretty sure

And this is why I have no interest in ever listening to that song. Whether it's a good or not, I could never enjoy it. It's saddled with so much baggage piled on from without it's just not worth it. Like watching a Roman Polanski movie.

Seriously.

Me neither, nor did I ever hear that Robin Thicke song, nor Miley Cyrus. I've been around long enough to understand what I will or won't like when it comes to "pop" music. I could be wrong, of course, but I'll put the odds at 20:1 that it would be worth my time.

Do you mean Chick Tracts? Or is someone handing out Pride and Prejudice pamphlets? Because I like that second idea.

God, UPWORTHY is the worst. It's like a 2004 spam-bot started a social justice website ("OMG SEE WHAT THIS WOMAN DID…") and I was trained to never click on anything that looks like spam.

I see these "controversies" as internet memes for the socially conscious set.

I know I'm late, but I can't not contribute. Note that this list could change at any moment, but I'd go with:

Somehow I'd never seen Pod People until just a few weeks ago. I was wearing headphones but I was laughing so hard ("oooh, a furry potato…") my GF came over to hug me because she thought I was crying.
