I too love Embryonic. I didn't know this was contentious.

FIGHT!
I knew a guy named Adam Hunt, but we called him Mike to piss him off.
He doesn't even own a TV.
There was a sweet spot: before high speed internet, when I was a teenager just old enough to stay up late but still young enough to find late night humor "edgy." I don't think that today's "youth" have that sweet spot anymore.
"I'm looking for children's book from Fiji, I don't remember the name but the cover had a tree on it and it was in French."
"Google can bring you back 100,000 answers, a librarian can bring you the right one."
@avclub-6307a12d5c9e2fb5f23518a9a0ee8dd1:disqus To be fair, the one time I had a "party" at my parents house while they were away (consisting of, like, 6 people) I did try to get drunk on Triple Sec and Bailey's Irish Cream. I already liked Chris Traeger, but I just recently started watching The West Wing, and seeing Rob Lowe there actually made me like Chris Traeger more. Call me weird.
After my senior prom everyone decided to get drunk on cinnamon schnapps (it was all my friends' parents had around) and subsequently ended up vomiting up cinnamon schnapps. Except me, because I knew that was a very, very bad idea. I maintain that was the wise decision.

Did you go to Greendale?

They sometimes dress up in tri-corner hats and yell in public spaces about taxes.
I still really like P&R, but I realized that the main reason I watch it is because it's one of the few currently-airing shows that both me and my girlfriend can agree on*.
So would I. But I would also be okay with it continuing. Hell, I might even keep on watching it, as long as it remains an enjoyable way to kill 22-ish minutes each week.
This is one of those "while everything you say is correct, I fail to see how that's a bad thing."
Now he tells me!
I'll defend hatesong: everyone has that irrational hatred of something that they can't avoid. It's a pretty universal experience, so I see hatesong as a way to share that experience. It's more of a story than a rant, and sometimes it's pretty insightful.
I've always had a soft spot for Phish. I went through that phase, then came out of it, was openly derisive of them for a while, then got over it. Now they're just another band I kinda-don't hate, but I still like them more than a lot of newer music.
