I just looked up the show on Wikipedia and it revealed that this was the first episode that Ryan Murphy wrote all by himself.

And now for the main event, Ben Harmon's Best Lines!
You guys, I can't believe that just happened. RUBBER MAN! was totes predictable. I'm so disappointed that I've been reduced to talking like a 15 year old glee fan. As Tyra Bank's impeccably put it: I was, sort-of-kind-of, rooting for you. We were all rooting for you. HOW DARE YOU!!!!
Like, @avclub-12a84ab992bdd63f5303e6dd60cc10e8:disqus said, Ferguson is aware of it. He talked a bit about it in his Playboy interview.
Larry King as Geoff was the best. He was hilarious, endearing and fun
all at the same time, something I don't expect from him. I enjoyed it so much, I haven't deleted it from the DVR yet.
I'm starting a petition stat.
TODD HOW DARE YOU TAKE AWAY FRANK FISTICUFFS IT'S MY FAVORITE!!!!!!! YOU KNEW IT WAS GOING GOING TO BE OVER AND YOU STILL ENDED IT WITH A CLIFFHANGER?????? YOU ARE HISTORY'S GREATEST MONSTER
The dvr always catches the tail end of Letterman, before Ferguson, and it always amazes me how good his musical guests are. I often look up the ones I haven't heard of and it's turned me on to some really great bands.
Hey, Guy, I didn't like TBBT when it was on Mondays either. Britta'd it.
Sir, you are the bearer of great news! I figured ABC would sit out the night due to the ratings disaster that was last year.
We should talk about how good Community was instead.
I started watching the episode after the review went up, so I was expecting a B episode and I was agreeing, even swaying towards a B- there, but then the 2nd half started. Jesus, I haven't laughed that much all week.
Dale is the best and he's far too classy for this shit. He should be on an island with Lapidus drinking his days away.
I don't know, you guys, maybe it's because I'm susceptible to Daryl and Dale, but i thought that this was one of the show's best episodes. Easy B+, and if I hadn't been spoiled about what Hershel was keeping in the barn I could see shock factor bringing it up to an A-. Or maybe it's because I'm in a good mood.…
While I agree that the episode was unnecessarily high concept, I wasn't left disappointed. Damn if Elena staking Rebekah didn't leave my jaw hanging for a good 30 seconds, great stuff.
The tragic thing, IMO, is that he doesn't know what he's done. He's been living the good ghost life for 30+ years and now he's wondering why Violet, and possibly Addie, rejects him. And when he learns/remembers that he's actually Westfield High's History's Greatest Monster, that might make for some good stuff. We'll…
"He had to be peaceful, my fierce little Ghandi", Ben reminisced.
Best line was Constance's "It's hard to keep good help", in response to the medium's dead ghost maid.
As for week 4 of Ben Harmon's Best Lines, we got little material and all his stuff was mostly terrible, not in a fun way. We should just discuss how he's the world's worst psychiatrist instead. I mean, really. Just the worst. He is the pizza burn on the show's mouth.
