Also, don't know all of the details, but isn't Zimmer kinda famous lately for taking the sole credit for scores that are actually written by a committee under his employ?  That was him, right?  Sounds like if that's your technique it shouldn't take too long to shit something out for a movie that won't be remembered

The score is almost always one of the last things added to a movie.  A lot of the time, everything is edited to fit "filler music" that's removed and replaced in the final months of post.  That's why most trailer music (unless, of course, it's a sure-thing collaboration like Spielberg/Williams) is lifted from other

It's my gut reaction to shit on any "tribute" albums or cover records that come out, because they're almost always wanky money grabs, but, without ignoring the fact that this project reeks a little of money grabbing, the artists chosen are all perfect.  All of these guys are both pretty great and not out of place on a

I don't love the much-hyped Vicky Christina Barcelona, but his Shadows and Fog, Sweet and Lowdown, and Midnight in Paris are all amazing films made by Allen since 1990 and they're also all films that completely buck the stereotypes of the "Woody Allen Movie."

Don't forget "architect."  Because in movie worlds, architects aren't detail-oriented engineering types, they're just guys that draw pictures on blue sheets of paper they roll up and carry around all day… because, like, form and function, man.

Read any musician's memoir or listen to any stand-up's set about road gigs and the one thing that is abundantly clear is most venues, bars, clubs, etc most certainly have "a guy."

The money that a studio likely shells out for a spec sequel of one of the more successful franchises out there probably looked pretty good to a guy that's spent the last three decades making pretty unsuccessful (but thoroughly awesome) indies.

The fact that most of the people online that attack Carrie for her poor judgement and deem her a "terrible person" simultaneously ignore her CRIPPLING MOOD DISORDER that soundly and realistically explains her poor judgement is a pretty depressing reflection of our society's attitude towards mental illness.

Wasn't he already that shadowy masked alien villain in The Avengers?  The Thanos mouthpiece guy?

Yeah, it's not that bad. Definitely has a BSG-on-network vibe to it, with some interesting conspiracies, mysteries, and conflicts set up efficiently over that first 40-something minutes.  I'm in for the first season at least… but, then, that's probably all it'll get anyway.
