Between both my jobs, about 62. It was much worse two months ago when it was more like 75+, it's settled down a lot. I've been scheduled to have a free night most weeks but the last two I've been called in.

If I get my night off this week(*), I'll go see it for sure.

Other Hollywood Producer: "I mean, can't we manage at least seven? We have a quota to meet here!"

Plus the 90 minutes they accidentally cut from the film with the razor really improved the pacing.

Hey at least now they have digital technology. When they had to remove Gene Hackman's facial hair from The Conversation, they had to apply shaving cream and a fine razor to every single cell of film he appeared in.

That will likely be the first WWE pay-per-view event I don't watch in a couple years, though mostly for time reasons.

Most of my pop culture time is now devoted to New Japan Pro Wrestling, as we're on day 5 of their massive 19 show G-1 Climax tournament, which tends to be a festival of the best wrestling every year. It's been hard enough to keep up with the last two years, and now I'm squeezing it into a much tighter work schedule.

Happy Birthday, Randy!

I remember watching the show as a kid but it's kind of a duck-blur.

1. Inherent Vice
2. Detention
3. Upstream Color

You're really good at that.

It's kind of comforting that famous people have old-people-workplace-flirtations even cornier than mine.

Good luck, looking forward to many comments from you when you're bored at 3 am.

Well, you know, time travel. It might seem like a stretch early in the show's run but by about season 5, the man comes around.

The man in black fled across the island, and Jacob followed.

I just watched a trailer for The Orville and…yeesh. I know it's supposed to be a takeoff of Star Trek but it's basically just Star Trek with Seth MacFarlane making Dad-joke wisecracks the whole time.

It'll be interesting if post-Moffat the show goes from being so constantly self-referential to, like, not at all. It could be very different.

I'd check it out to see Fed's performance, but I might flip channels during the second set. I mean, as much as I enjoy watching the Daleks or The Master or Lleyton Hewitt, they never really have a chance of winning. =-P
