But seriously: unfold your arms.
That would really piss you off? Really? You would go to a festival concert with tens of thousands of people and get angry when a half dozen guys in front of you sing along and have fun? Obnoxious would be starting a mosh pit or booing (both of which I've seen). This was just them

"I think if I knew these people in real life, I would kind of hate them."
I guess I'm having issues with that idea.
Yes, each of these characters is annoying and wacky. But what I love about this show is that while we see all of that, they're still completely believable. In fact, I feel like Cougar Town (switch it to

It's completely worth seeing. This is a bad review. The breaking of the fourth wall doesn't make it less exciting, it makes it more exciting. It becomes an excellent commentary on film as an art form, not just it's "no reason" aspects.

Wanting to be perfect
Uh, didn't the wholesome and picky Hank Hooper not liking Black Swan basically say that the movie was daring and fresh? I really don't think it was picked on at all.

Villains!
I didn't love the villain in tonights episode as much as everyone else seems to have. Sure, I enjoyed his grin as he caught parasites pouring from a dead man's body. I liked how he was obsessed with being immortalized. But for some reason he didn't connect with me emotionally the way so many other Fringe

Sense of the series' quality
Well, I think I can guarantee you'll end up loving it just by what you said here:
"The first two episodes, in particular, lean a little too heavily on the sitcom-y device at the show's center…The second episode is looser and funnier, but it, too, doesn't provide any real narrative drive."

Cool to see this take on the show
I was a huge fan in season 1, then forgot about the switch to TNT for a year, and just caught up two weeks or so ago.
I'm surprised at others feelings for the show. For example, here you seem to be a little down on Sammy. He's always doing the same stuff (smashing, crashing, running).

Todd addresses this in the review, sort of. In 2o minutes it's hard to give everyone a good story, so marginalizing some characters and having them play to their type is fine. If it serves to make a better story for some characters and increase the fun factor, it's alright to have Britta do nothing but complain about

I think I lip read "cup the right breast and then the left"
After that I just laughed until I couldn't breathe.

Fantastic
The D&D form really worked well for the episode. Easy to grasp but fun to watch.
Charley Koontz was great as Neil.

Sexy pictures
I never would have thought the Travis/Kirsten plot would work, but it was the highlight of the episode. The rest was very good too.
It's okay Grayson. I cry during Field of Dreams too.

easy as ABC
I thought the A-plot was hilarious, the B-plot good, and the C-plot horrible.
I too have fallen in love with Tracy again. So funny.
And even though the tag was predictable, it was still great.

Exactly, when the show hits that balance it's unstoppable.

I agree. In a streak of 26 episodes of this show that have all been great or better, this was one of the best.
But hey, grades shcmades. Super straw!

"Religious oligarchy."
"Holy shit."
Spectacular episode. I love the Leslie/Ben dynamic more and more. And seeing Ron buddy up with Andy was unbelievably entertaining.
It's amazing that April is so so mean, but I still love her character.
"Stop. Pooping." Is one of the best deliveries of a line ever.

Super Brain Milk
Hah, I wasn't the only one to think Peter was about to start growing a huge head. I too thought that September's plan had been to turn Peter into a fully realized weapon.

Well Redverse isn't ALL better than us. Blimps could be argued to be more dangerous and less useful than planes or helicopters. And maybe their more technologically advanced, but they have less in the way of pop culture. Even with the fanciful technology of Redverse, I don't think of it as superior.

In my head Coop got out of Black Lodge in the Season 3 midseason finale.

Who noticed the tie-in to Twin Peaks? Walter mentions his glasses were invented by a Dr. Jacoby in Washington state who was a good friend of his.

Rich
I don't like him much either and I saw the ending coming.
Still, I thought the episode was a fun return to the group. Plenty of awesome jokes to go around.
