This is the theme of the episode!
I agree with you, Todd, that having the characters spell out the message of the episode and getting rid of all the subtext can be annoying. It happens all the time with Cougar Town and happened in plenty of Scrubs episodes. It can get annoying, but I find that the characters Lawrence

After next weeks episode the show takes a break so that "Mr. Sunshine" (a new Matthew Perry vehicle) can air in the post-Modern Family slot. It returns April 13th.

In defense of Flipped
What the hell? Flipped was great.
The plot wasn't anything too special. But both leads do a great acting job. The direction is great. The movie reeks of nostalgia but that's the point. It doesn't make it the greatest movie ever, but it makes it a blissful 90 minute escape.

Not a death slot, but a life slot? Plus an easter egg
I was expecting a huge drop in quality for this episode. While it was definitely down from the last two weeks, it was still fantastic. This show does creepy and grotesque so often that it was awesome to see something even more gruesome than what's come before. The

Ah, really? At the very least, this is an A. And if A+ ratings are allowed and just reserved for the absolute-pinnacle-of-television episodes: we just watched one.

I'm about to complain about an A-.
That finale was, bar none, one of the best episodes of television I've ever seen.
In fact, I'm almost offended it was only awarded an A-. Every element of that episode was perfect. From small moments like Mark smoking and Gretchen telling Hank she wants him to catch Zeitland, to big

Farewell, Thomas Jerome Newton.
I just want to echo everyone else who is saying the killing of Newton was ill-advised. What made him so scary was that, while other shapeshifters absorbed emotions and gained them, Newton had none. He was completely heartless, which made him terrifying. Him being gone (and with some
