This is truth. I grew up down the street from a NPR station manager. He once got death threats over moving the opera show from a live simulcast of met performances to a taped version later in the day. They take that listenersupported radio Stuff to heart. And to crazy town.

I love this show! I love that at this point in the series they have such a deep bench of recurring characters that they don't have to reintroduce Nancy Crosier's annoyingness with more than an eye-roll shared between Alicia and Cary. We know Geneva Pine is tough and a good prosecutor. We have even seen the public

I loved so much about the episode, but Eli seeing Peter in his full manipulative mode was awesome. Up to this point Peter has been constrained by his ambitions, it will be interesting to see what he does now that he is governor. Also, I don't think Peter is for sure taking away Diane's nomination, he might just be

Hilarious that you champion reasonable body images for women, abolition, and then use the word 'Popery'. The Catholics are not so cool with the word choice.

Love it! Love everything about it! I am destined to adore this show and mourn its cancellation because either (a) it requires way too much investment in a complicated and absurd mythology (a la Firefly) or (b) it just keeps running at warp 9 and runs out of story somewhere around the end of season 1 (a la Heroes) or

The actor playing Flynn has suffered the most from the tight timespan covered in the Breaking Bad world. Can you imagine being stuck playing an angst ridden, churlish teenage boy for 5 years!? It also was starting to seem strange that a fully grown man would be throwing temper tantrums.

I was thinking Marie was still in the car, I kept dreading her coming in and getting stabbed after she heard Hank was dead.

I haven't seen it in years, but the Dad's funeral in one of the first episodes of six feet under. The not-Dexter brother was sitting with his sister and people were coming up to offer condolences. A lady said something inane about his Dad being in a better place he replied, 'You are so right about that' and then right

Ugh, this series shines a light on the worst side of a person. I get that people enjoy talking about why they really hate some part of pop culture, it makes you feel clever and being mean is fun, but it opens up such ugliness. If all you knew about this guy was this article ( which it is for me) you would think he is

There are so many more possibilities than the Lannisters or Stannis though. Little Starks must grow up sometime, Dany is ever so slowly making her way to Westeros, Jon Snow could be interesting, a Tyrell, and even Geoffrey's little brother are all hovering around the edge of power. I think we are watching the end of

Mine couldn't figure out why I was I was crying and wouldn't let her go.

It took me a minute, I started thinking I never had a first crush and then I remembered staying up to tape 21 Jumpstreet reruns (I had to stay up so I could make sure to pause for commercials).  Johnny Depp as Tom Hansen was my true love for about two years in middle school and I have to admit, I still have a crush on

I love the carillon at UW.  Such good memories of hearing the bells play at 3 on friday when I would skip my freshman calc class.

In one of the commentaries they mention that how they had to reshoot some scenes from the pilot and that Sophie Turner had grown about 6 inches in time it took to film the first season.

I thought both were for the benefit of Augustine.

I thought Daphne giving Zarra the once-over was one of the few things she did right in this episode. I don't think it was Zarra's hair or clothes, it was the way she was rummaging in Bay's car, how she responded when Daphne challenged her, and how she quit 'looking for her phone' when Bay came back.

Ugh, I totally agree. The only movie I have ever seen that accurately showed how creepy an adult/precocious teenager hookup is was American Beauty.  When Kevin Spacey (who was 40 at the time) finally kissed Mena Suvari (who was <20) it was upsetting and shocking and absolutely not romantic.

My favorite long shot theory for the mother is that her name is Rachel.  In the first season Ted has a nice chat with a stripper who confides her real name is Rachel, futureTed says "and that kids is how I met your Mother!", and the kids freak out.  THat fakeout on the kids would only work if her namewas actually
