To the original question (and the additional "Winters Bone" connection), I don't know about Kentucky, but I grew up in the Ozarks of southern Missouri and no, that's enough for Loretta to go to child services…which is one of the many reasons why I don't live in southern Missouri anymore.

I would have loved to see a whole bunch of the cast play themselves (I mean, how awesome would it have been to see Mark Sheppard play Mark Sheppard being pissed about having been killed off). But, I'm glad they didn't overdo it — I always appreciate when the writers/directors show restraint.

Oh, and another thing
Thus far, I have avoided Twitter. But I'll start an account right away if someone organizes a "Mish-amigos" group. You know, in memoriam.

So, I wasn't expecting a cameo by Jessica Alba…
…but I did figure "Dark Angel" would get a shout out for the nerd-core. However, the "Days of Our Lives" bit was a nice surprise and I like to think that Dean's look of disgust was genuine.

I love that you think he said "dagger you on the dance floor." Hey, that's a good name for a men's fragrance.

Do you? Do. You?
Well, it's nice to see that this week's Cam and Mitch story managed to meet with at least limited approval here in the comments section. But, we're also seeing the weekly wingeing about them — and it just occurred to me that the last time I remember there being widespread praise for Cam and

Definitely my favorite moment - mainly because I am now dying to see his empirical evidence and how it was presented. I'm guessing a heavily footnoted double-blind study presented in a peer-reviewed journal. With charts.

Let us recall the words of the prophet Chuck: "It's really not jumping the shark if you never come back down."

There's something oddly comforting about finding out that other people are having the same trans-dimensionally pervy thoughts as I am. Thank you internet.

Re: The Haunted Kidney
So, according to the haunting rules of the Supernatural universe, even the smallest bit of DNA is enough to "anchor" a ghost, right? Then I want to see the episode where the brothers face their toughest foe: the spirit of John Holmes. (And just a suggestion for the method of ghostly vengeance

Oh, I am a dick (hence my decision to remain childless). Doesn't mean I'm wrong though.

Sorry, I guess my earlier snark wasn't clear enough. If you think you have a greater sensitivity to the plight of children in danger simply because you are a parent, you don't. Please get over yourself.

However, keep in mind that there is a sizable percentage of the viewing audience who, like me, don't have kids. And we just love to see babies in danger. Baby snuff? Can't get enuff.

Unfortunately…
…I guess most TV execs are just like six-year olds; if a joke is funny once, then telling it twenty times makes it twenty times funnier. So, they got a good response from the first and second seasons and then just decided to stall the show and its characters and let them run in place. The one thing

The slight hint of emotion in his voice that could have descended into him getting choked up, but didn't is what made that my favorite moment of the episode. Pratt is awesome.

"If one of us dies, we stage it to look like a suicide caused by the unjust cancellation of Firefly."

I agree with Five-Dot Ellipsis. "Mixology" did what Community does best, which is transcend its own genre pigeonhole.

Once you think about it, the idea of immortality pervades every aspect of this episode: the scientist seeking it through his cure, Manson and Bugliosi getting a beetle named after them, Olivia and Walter living on through the baby carrying their DNA and (perhaps) the Bishop name.

I don't want to damage my street cred, but I think it's only fair to give some credit to the wordsmith that wrote "Australopithecus would really have been sick of us" in the full song version of the BBT theme. Early hominids so rarely get a catchy pop shout-out.

Believe me, I'm no fan of shitty TV (Two and a Half Men for example) that just recycles plots with lazy writing and a laugh-track. But, I think some of the harsher assessments of tonight's episode and the show in general are, well, "inaccurate" is the only word I can think of. I mean, if you don't like the show, you
