@gradythompson:disqus Countries with a freer democracy than the US:

@gradythompson:disqus FYI "the greatest experiment in democracy" is an idiotic statement and shows a lack of understanding of the rest of the world. According to the democracy index the US is ranked 21st in the world by democracy (including civil liberties)

As @Zardoz says, I don't think MiB was trying to help the hosts. He thought the maze was a game/riddle for the guests to unravel and discovered that suffering took him further along the maze. I don't think he realised that the maze was for the hosts to become conscious and suffering is necessary to achieve this.

"Now then, this is Frankenstein talking of the monster, yes?"

Agreed. So far this season has the edge in my opinion because it doesn't have the constant cloying god talk that seemed to dominate Survivor for a few seasons after HvV.

I thought the interviews were edited perfectly this episode - in retrospect it seems clear he's getting the underdog/potential winner edit but there was just enough ambiguity that he didn't seem safe this tribal council.

For a smart person she states the obvious a lot, like an undergrad spouting what they know about game theory from one lecture.

it's possible to make plenty of mistakes and still be a good player. Spencer, if he wins, might end up being the male equivalent of Sandra - always doing just enough to ensure someone else goes home.

Have you seen Fishbach and Cesternino recently? They both look in much better shape than when they played. Plus I don't think Rob was bad at challenges - in a tribe of just men he fell somewhere in the middle. And in defence of Cirie, any strength challenge like wrestling against other women she was great.

Yeah this is not the Brains tribe we deserve, and I think Probst is happy about that.

The hackery is part of the joke. It's similar to his 'iPhone, iMac idon'tknowanymore' line. They make sense in the context of Scott's on air character.

I'm pretty sure Ozzy would have won South Pacific by a landslide had he made it to the end. If I remember rightly the jury were visibly cheering Ozzy on for a lot of the endgame episodes.

The Scourge of God has impeccable taste in TV

I dunno, the Targaryens are a handsome bunch.

Surprisingly from that exchange I find myself wholeheartedly agreeing with Marc. Not so much for the 10 mins fast-forward dig (which by now is a fairly common joke) but for Kumail's dismissal of Marc after he replied to the joke.

I think his fights with Nanjiani were a little more pointed. For example he and Dave Anthony are always exchanging insults via twitter but I have no doubt that they like each other.

I personally think it's a pretty big advantage, and it'll be interesting to see how/if Rob covers the season to any degree on the podcast if he's a contestant.

If it's a ruse it seems to be an unnecessary one. Burnout from doing so many podcasts seems more feasible with just enough of a wink to the listeners that we know what he's really doing.

And Rob C and Tyson would seem to be natural allies judging from their rapport on the podcast. Plus RC was voted Miss Survivor on the podcast. It seems that the deck could be stacked firmly in Rob's favour.

Wow, if that's the cast this has turned from an idea I really hated to one I can get behind 100% I imagine most people here will be team Nicole and Rob C
