I read it as he was having another dream, but some of the treatments were starting to work because at least his family were on his side instead of against him in his dream. So…kinda hopeful.

A great Kubrick quote " ‘I read an essay by the great master H.P. Lovecraft where he said that
you should never attempt to explain what happens, as long as what
happens stimulates people’s imagination, their sense of the uncanny,
their sense of anxiety and fear.’"

Saw it On Demand- it's the dialogue (or about 95% correct). there are several rants like this in the movie. I thought they got kinda tedious and I could see Bobcat wanted me to be turning on the protagonist, but it just turned me on the movie a bit.

You really think that Taco Bell could come with better lies…or if it's true…that humanity could do better…

Nu uh! Not, like, if you were teleported there!

"cult oddity" I think this term is still apt.

Falling Down definitely doesn't agree with the main character. I think the film sympathizes with him at the beginning but by the end, Robert Duvall's character is completely tearing apart the philosophy of the rampager.

He's worked his way up from cult shows on the wb and upn to the biggest movie of 2012 all the while gaining an ever expanding fanbase and simultaneously staying true to the themes and ideas he seems really keen on revisiting. Kudos to the guy, and if not completely an underdog story- definitely a pretty solid success

Hmmm, no IMDB page, no wiki page, still raising money with kickstarter…. i guess it's news because it's a weird concept, right?

Are you including Taintlight in that count of parodies?…because if not, it's cool- no one should have to be aware of that movie…

But is it proactive ?

Reeeeemake Day!

So wait….things apparently I can't appreciate since I came late to according to this retarded philosophy by David Simon:

ah, yes. the show that inspired me to dream one day of  being a great womanizer who conquered the moon!

Echoing other comments, I assume- but real glad these write-ups are here. Also was geeked out once I learned this was the title of a Bebop episode. Huzzah !

Six movies and a season!

Well …I don't care for their hate Radiohead policy. But…I do support their kill Patty because she's gay policy…

"Speaker is slower, more deliberate and philosophical."

What should I try to watch today from these soon-to-be-leaving features:

I don't think she's arguing that the show isn't manufactured. The main argument seems to be that this particular season allowed the curtain to be pulled back on some of these specific individuals allowing an audience to see their foibles and not always for laughs.
