"In The Zone"
Thank you for explaining what "in the zone" meant. The slang you octogenerians used to describe sporting situations is confusing to the youth of today.

Did they really make fun of it? A winking nod at the beginning, the SNL-esque bits, and tying it to Jack being sober.

This was the worst thing 30 Rock has ever done (not hyperbole). But kudos to Jenna's dress.

Review kind of makes me want to check it out.
The two albums I have heard (The Fresh & Onlys, and Grey-Eyed Girl) are just generic garage rock that shitload of bands are already doing (and doing better), so hopefully this has something special about it.

Hmm, that seemed a little defensive. I don't mean to imply that complex continuity or shooting means that a show will be great, or that a show that lacks complexity can't be great. I only mean to say that HIMYM is complex and it is indebted to Arrested Development. If you don't find the show funny then you don't find

I'm going to guess that none of you have seen HIMYM since your criticisms don't just seem like those of people who dislike the show (which would be fair enough, comedy is incredibly subjective), but of people who know nothing about the show.

Considering HIMYM is one of the best comedies on TV and has taken the complex continuity of Arrested Development and managed to turn it into something that is somewhat marketable, he should be studying it pretty closely to see how he can use his talents to make money.

If it was the Dirty Delta Blues Band, then the drummer was Jim White. Incredibly drummer.

And I really like this. I didn't think I would at first because it seemed like it would be a weaker, thinner, The Woods. But it's instantly catchy and just another great album in a long list of them (all the albums I've heard with Corin Tucker as a creative force, Heavens 2 Betsy, Sleater-Kinney, Cadallaca, none of

They're technically on "hiatus". There's been well documented problems with in the band, the family excuse was probably just to play to the media.

Lily is my least liked too. Mostly because of the way she treated Marshall (dumping him to pursuit her art when Marshall was willing to give up his dream so she could go back to her art, and running up that huge debt without really showing any remorse) and Ted (got indignant when Ted rightfully called her a cunt,

I saw her at the beginning of this year, and yes, it's even better than ever. The concert was probably enhanced by the fact that she seemed to actually be really enjoying it, but I was almost knocked dead by how powerful her voice has become. I didn't even care that the only original she played was Metal Heart (which

The American version was going to be written by the writers of Peep Show.

I thought the first one was one of the best of the show, 2nd and 3rd have been ok.

To be fair to the Inbetweeners, Peep Show is better than any modern comedy going.

HIMYM is top tier. Every other sitcom is second tier or below.

We also knew that Robin wasn't the Mother, but it didn't stop second season from being great.

We already know she's right for Ted. If they don't finish it with Ted meeting the Mother, then they'll probably treat the Mother like they did Victoria or Stella.

You can have the friends not interacting with the Mother because it's not the point of the show. The point isn't about Ted and The Mother's romance, it's about Ted becoming the person he had to be to meet the Mother, (and on another level, friendship). Not that the mother meeting the friends and interacting with the

It didn't make it clear. And HIMYM has a history of making you think one thing and then revealing they've tricked you, like "Your mother was in that class… but I was in the wrong one!" or like Shelter Island where he says you shouldn't invite exes to your wedding and then cuts to Robin, making you think he's referring
