My interpretation of the Larry/NPR thing is that it's more of a criticism of Piper's selfishness (and a meta commentary on television as a whole) than an attempt to establish Larry as some kind of villain. When Taylor was first admitted, she was freely informing Larry of her opinions formed by prejudice and a refusal

Turk is condescending, but the episode does come off with a more "heart is in the right place, but the head is nowhere to be seen" vibe. Guys should call their friends out when they're being sexist.

The Gilmore Girls, a show about a mother and daughter's relationship, keeps proving itself to be one of the coolest shows of all time. That scene where Jess is sleeping to music is playing Pavement. And not something that had a little MTV exposure, like "Cut Your Hair", but "Price, Yeah!" from their early EP

Or just try not having 40 "amps" on stage.

It's stated that Spoiler:

I saw them when they first reunited and they were really good. Nothing from Bossanova, most of it was Surfer
Rosa and Doolittle, which I don't blame them for. I would have
preferred a wider spread, but I know those first two are by far their
most popular. Then a couple years later I heard they were coming to our
lonely

I love this so much.

Indeed. It's hard to do a proper review of The Larry Sanders Show that isn't just "this is funny" without talking about the context of what the show is satirising.

I'm almost positive that Thomas' existence in the series is a meta joke by the writers (but one where they're not winking at the audience). His blandness and the fact that he's rarely used, and generally only shows up in the background is meant to be the joke.

It's really hard to talk about the value of The Venture Bros. if you've only seen the first season.  One of the things that makes this show so amazing is how subtly it turns these one dimensional characters into full 3 dimensional personalities and treats them less like one note jokes and more like real, full fleshed

There's lots to gain from getting experience with the tech side that makes it valuable beyond its actual wage.

The only real difference between a heckler and an internet commentator or critic, is that a comedian gets the chance to confront his heckler head on, in an environment that's, 9 times out of 10, on the side of the comedian.

Their EP showed a lot of promise, but I don't think the album capitalised on it. Too samey and kind of bland.

I'm going to call this a masterpiece. This is probably my favourite pop song since What Goes…Around Comes Around and a strong contender for song of the year.

Ohhhhh, she's writing for the Office? She kept saying she's working on television, but wouldn't get any more specific. Megan Ganz seemed so excited to mention she was writing for Community. I wonder what made Amelie dance around the fact that she's writing on the Office?

I've been watching Eastbound & Down as the ultimate anti-redemption story. I'm predicting Kenny will get everything he's ever wanted without deserving any of it, and become an even worse person at the end of the series. Though I'd also enjoy a dark, unglamourous ending for Mr Powers.
