It might seem dramatic considering how low-key and realistic the rest of the film is, but sadly, it is an all too real problem as this link shows (spoiler for the ending of the film, obviously!):

My interpretation of the photograph (which appears near the end of the film as well), was that his twin brother served in the military, and is most likely dead. The multiple shots of identical twins is one hint, and Laura having a dream about twins, but also - why would he, or anyone, have a photo of himself in his

They'll get to the bottom of this, no doubt.

There's also a good piece by William Goldman in one of his books about the difference between the brilliant economical storytelling at the end of North by Northwest and the ending of Psycho, which would be the same, except there's over five minutes of a psychiatrist explaining everything. After decades of twisty

A week late, but I've only just seen it. Having re-watched that scene just now it looks like a black soft case / gig bag with hard plastic edging that could make it look like a hardshell case. And you never see the headstock part of the case, which is the real giveaway size-wise. From the shot of her queuing up just

It's "Mr 10%" by the band Dive Dive, who are made up of ex-members of Dustball and Unbelievable Truth. (Their lead singer is the first person to appear in the video.)

Deathcab For Cutie at Brixton Academy. They gave a little speech about how much they loved British music, and that their next song was by a British band that had really influenced them. That song was "Twisterella" by Ride, which was fantastically pleasing for me and maybe one other guy in the crowd. I think everyone

I saw him do it as an encore in London in 2009. I had no idea that it would be part of the set. Halfway through, it looked like someone's eccentric uncle had invaded the stage. Then everyone realised it was Paul McCartney turning up to sing his bit in the middle of the song. That was a surprise, to say the least.

Yes, if a 3D printer can make a sand beast, it should be able to handle a whistle.

Brilliant, thanks for this - I've been waiting to rent Mauvais Sang for a couple of years since it was featured on this site. Still no current DVD release.

I do wonder if they're actually going to do one of those ridiculous endings (e.g. any of these, or Jason Segel's proposed "apocalypse ending") as a fake-out in the last minute of the entire series. I wouldn't put it past them.

Oh, there's wordplay… I watched that line again recently, it actually goes: "The day I met your mother. The day of a wedding." So it doesn't have to be Barney's wedding day, and it doesn't even have to be *at* a wedding. Just on the same day.

The strictly correct response to that question would be: "I cannot answer you, because it’s totally unknown to me what you just asked me, and also very boring."
