If this helps spread Tastykakes to the Midwest, I’m on board.

My husband has been talking about Mads as Doom for AGES...

Right? We took my husband’s baby brother a few times and the whole appeal was “I can get a drink while they play dumb games together” (that said, most Chuck E Cheeses sell beer and wine, just not a full bar.)

I’m not like, opposed to Dave & Busters, but ... bottle service???

Yes, Peck.

Yeah, I looked that up too and UGH, birds of a feather.

Port Orleans has beignets all the time. It’s part of the whole NOLA schtick.

I don’t think it’s open anymore, but in rural northern Indiana between Middlebury and Shipshewana there used to be Deutsch Kase Haus, run by Amish people making fresh cheese curds and aged cheese. You could watch them make the curds and the cheese and sample a ton of things and buy them.

Maybe it’s just me but delivery coffee just boggles me a bit - it’s all gonna be lukewarm by the time it gets to you, whether it started hot or cold.

Yeah, that seemed weird to me - I’ve been to Seasons 52, but it’s not the kind of place that appeals to youth a lot; it’s a bit fancier with an emphasis on fresh, seasonal ingredients.

I live in Chicagoland and a bunch of those (esp the fast-casual) do not have locations anywhere near here. No Chuy’s, the nearest Cheddars and Cracker Barrel are a decent drive, no Brass Tap.

Most people with diabetes can eat some sugar, it’s not verboten, it just needs to be kept in balance along with other simple carbs.

That may have been from the FB post, at least.

Come on, dude, those are macarons, not macaroons. If you write for a food blog you should know the difference :P

Oh yeah reading between the lines, the ceo was probably all in and the board didn’t see a return on investment so he’s out.

The ranch bugles were tasty - they were gone last time I went to the grocery store, though.

Well, I find it a little sad that you can’t possibly imagine a burger without a beer (that’s what fountain sodas and milkshakes are for) but you do you.

It now says “close to a decade” which is also not true. I think he edited it :P

I hear ya but you can go get a beer after :)

Yes. Or a tap filter, if you prefer, but bottled water is a scam, bad for the environment, and may not be that safe to drink in the first place! Beyond the plastic part, there are no federal standards for cleanliness.
