I realize this is missing the point of the joke, but “The Lottery” was a short story only a few pages long. It always annoyed me to see this scene because it makes it look like it was a whole novel that would be an entire book.

“Yes, I can sometimes be bitchy and that may have gotten away from me on occassion, and I’m sorry if that made the job more difficult for any of my coworkers. I will work to be better in the future”... AND... story over.

Especially for someone who has such a dramatic personality -- the entire reason they are a breakout star from the show. Acknowledge that it can feel aggressive to people and that everyone has moments where they’re not at their best. Because it’s true I’m sure all of us have had someone at work hate us at some point.

Yeah, a blanket denial just makes the accusations seem more believable, honestly.

But I’m a Cheerleader is obviously a groundbreaking queer story, but also transcends that and is just a great movie & great romantic comedy

Hannibal TV series.

I’ve always had a soft spot for Spielberg’s ‘smaller’ movies that don’t have dinosaurs or aliens or archaeologists. Movies like this, The Post, and Always show he’s just as skilled a filmmaker even without the multi-million $$ FX budgets.

I loved The Terminal, even if I wouldn’t call it Top Shelf Spielberg. I don’t have a problem with suspending my disbelief (is it a New Yorker thing to care whether JFK ever had that quarter-dispensing return cart system?), but Tom Hanks’ performance - as delightful as it is - doesn’t always convey that he’s

This whole mess was incomprehensible nonsense. Oh and there are clips from the season right in the YouTube preview.

It’s slightly different for these movies, at least it was for the first one. These parts don’t take more than a few weeks of shooting for most of the cast members. It’s a matter of who has some space in their schedule, as Johnson and the casting director have three or four names lined up, in case their first pick

I just...don’t know what the fuck Seinfeld is on about. Dude never was in any danger of being too fucking edgy, blue, or controversial. I’ve not seen a single thing that approaches even the tamer parts of a Bill Burr or Patton Oswalt show.

Agree with OP that even if he had, the alcohol abuse part makes the effects of his foot intake hazy at best.  Especially if he also decided to become a couch potato at the same time.

Michael Phelps ate something like 14,000 calories per day when he was training.  Granted he was in the pool eight hours a day as well.

The bit they did on that show about Aaron Rodgers is classic.

I’ve often thought it was a little weird that Disney didn’t give you free Disney+ at all their resorts.  At least with this one, you could make the argument that people weren’t going to spend a lot of time in their rooms, but it seems like a no brainer for them to give people a free trial with frequent opportunities

I post this every time there is something about Abbot Elementary. The principal is so realistically portrayed it gets hard to watch some time. So much like a recent principal I have worked for.

YES!!!! Mellisa and Jacob becoming roommates was way more interesting than the will-they-won’t-they very forced plot.

Honestly I think it’s because her estate hated the Oscar winning documentary and wanted to put a film out there that didn’t make Mitch Winehouse look like the exploitative and enabling piece of shit that he was in real life. As a huge Amy Winehouse fan I cannot imagine there are many fans out there that have any

Amy Winehouse was extremely popular when she was alive. “Rehab” and “You Know I’m No Good” were all huge hits, and she had many other well known songs including “Back to Black” and her cover of “Valerie” with Mark Ronson.

I’ll accept your second sentence, but I think the drop off is not as great as your first sentence suggests.  It’s no Glee - it’s still a fun show.
