The way they cook it, it’s closer to poaching. Not a ton of flavor in the fish itself, but it’s very tender and good with salt, butter and lemon.

A fish boil is a very Wisconsin thing as well - largely around Door County, which is a touristy area way up north. It is indeed boiled, along with potatoes and often onion, and served with a buttload of butter and lemon. I’ve been to one, it was pretty good. Oh, and there’s a huge plume of fire at one point. https://ww…
All fair. I just hear stories about this and about places like that dirty soda chain and think “wow, that’s a lot of sugar.” But Americans do love sugar in general, you’re not wrong there.
I still think that’s inadvisable, but you’re right that it probably wouldn’t merit a visit from hr.
Yep. And god forbid non-white people, lgbtq people and women not just grin and bear it anymore.
Yeah if it was the second time hr heard about it, it’s too late. Things rarely get to firing without any prior warning.
While I’m glad he wasn’t going around playing grab-ass, I really hate this “oh, it was just a joke” bullshit. Can’t anyone tell a JOKE anymore? sure you can. if it’s funny and not at someone else’s expense.
Be that as it may, it doesn’t really negate my point.
Based on purely anecdotal evidence, it seems like no alcohol + no caffeine means Mormons make sugar their major vice.
The people at Starbucks ordering espresso over ice and then adding half the condiment bar… which mostly aren’t a thing anymore, thanks to covid.
People trying to “hack” their way to cheaper ways to get the same thing bug the crap out of me. It was bad enough 15 years ago when I worked at Starbucks and it’s gotten so much worse now.
I think recliners are great! So much less jam-packed feeling. But I get you.
My MIL doesn’t drink because alcoholism runs in her family and she also doesn’t like the taste of it. My FIL just never seemed interested. But they’re not weird about it; they even keep a decent selection of wine and some beer in their house for guests. (They have no idea what’s “good” or not, but that’s a different…
Yeah, if you have a problematic relationship with alcohol that’s true no matter how much or little you drink. I have never felt like I *needed* a drink (beyond the “boy it’s been a crappy day, a beer sounds good); I have abstained without issue for weeks at a time; I don’t get angry or aggressive when I drink and I…
I mean I never pretended a glass of bourbon was good for my physical health any more than a couple slices of deep dish or a donut. But you know what, there’s more to life than just achieving maximum health. I exercise, I eat my veggies, my blood pressure and cholesterol are excellent, I’m still gonna die someday.
What about us normies who like a beer or a cocktail a few times a month but don’t binge drink on a Tuesday night? Cmon son.
yknow, maybe it’s just me, I’ve worked in the corporate world my whole career and “associates” has never bothered me. It’s a little formal and stiff, but I have bigger things to be irritated by.
love sazon! Though I try to avoid Goya now when possible. But I use sazon and adobo in so many things.
No, Callie isn’t old enough to be the baby from the woods.
My husband predicted that after the first episode of the season. He said “I’m not saying they’re gonna sacrifice the baby, but one way or another, that baby is getting eaten.”
