As I noted in my other comment, there’s at least one place in Key West that churns out hundreds of iced coffees a day with giant coffee ice cubes, though I don’t know what their process is.

The Cuban Coffee Queen, a small chain in Key West, sells their iced cafe con leche with 2-3 huge coffee ice cubes in it. They start with hot coffee, not coldbrew, but also it’s hot as hell in Key West most of the year so it means you can actually enjoy your iced coffee without it immediately getting watery.

I guess not, but you’ll still never have my exact recipe :) Feel free to borrow the “secret” though!

I disagree, I love it. Actually just rewatched it last weekend.

I didn’t say the film was creepy, though it does add an unsavory element to the whole thing. I did imply YOU were creepy though.

You’re upset that people are upset that two actors say they were coerced into nudity when they were teenagers? Make it make sense. Legal or not, it’s creepy as fuck, and the fact that doesn’t seem to occur to you is also creepy.

This is kind of a side note, but the secret to my tomato soup is to pour a can of generic tomato sauce into a small pan and roast it in the oven for ~20-30 minutes. I also roast onion, carrot and red pepper, peel the peppers, chuck it all in the blender. And then stir that into a box or can of crushed tomatoes and add

uh, what’s your point?

Huh? I mean, if they’re freaking TEENAGERS who didn’t agree to nudity, then yes. You can imply nudity without showing any. The ‘96 Baz Lurhmann version does not contain any nipples.

I also watched this in 9th grade (um like 28 years ago) and distinctly remember my teacher saying “it’s just skin, folks, everyone has it”…but yeah it wasn’t necessary to show nipples to tell the story.

I see so many snacks out there now that have names implying they’re “better for you” or “no guilt”etc. that I just avoid them all out of spite. Fuck guilt over eating.

Amanda Seyfried was at Disney World for her birthday, that’s a Disney dessert and the rest of the photos are clearly from the parks or resorts (I’ve been to that pool).

Chicago has so many neighborhood dives, I hope they stay forever.

That makes me happy to hear, because I’m frequently startled to realize it was almost 21 years ago.

I spent a semester in Manhattan - in student housing in Chelsea - and at the end of the block was BillyMark’s, which to the best of my memory was a dive in the Manhattan sort of way. Sure, you could get a mixed drink, but it was definitely mostly beer and hard liquor. Dart board, pool table, worn vinyl everywhere.

Our kitchen is not that small (relatively speaking) but it’s eat-in so the table takes up a decent amount of space. Which means there isn’t a ton of cabinet space, and even less counter space, especially when you take into account the microwave, mail sorter, coffee maker, toaster and fruit bowl. I would love more

They were really delightful, but I felt like a) the first set ended on a lovely note and b) it wouldn’t be right to do more without him. Maybe they do have more dialogue, though; we’ll see.

They claim it’s produce rejected by supermarkets; I don’t know how far it gets after that.

How are they gonna do more Dug Days without Ed Asner???

Yeah, the “ugly” fruits and veggies are just used for juice, pulp, diced up, whatever. Misfits irritates me because of that.
