Yeah. It was really good. I definitely cried a lot. Loved seeing a show about a deep friendship between two very flawed women.

SPOILERS for Dead to Me

Actually almost nowhere takes quarters anymore. At D&B you get a card to swipe. Chuck E Cheese did tokens when I worked there, but I bet that system has changed too. And most of the games aren’t anything like what you can play at home on a PlayStation or whatever - they have a jet ski to ride or a gun to shoot or it’s

This article needed a round or two with an editor. Tell me more about the food. You barely mentioned the dinner.

I have been to a D&Bs a few times and it absolutely is Chuck E Cheese for teens/grownups. (I should note that I have also worked at Chuck E Cheese.)

Plenty of sugar cookies get topped with buttercream. I have nothing against royal icing but buttercream is tastier anyway.

Cmon yall, wookiee has TWO Es.

Meh. I’ve managed to live 41 years just fine. I know the basic premise and I’m sure it’s entertaining but it hardly seems like a “call in sick from work” situation.

I will admit up front that I’ve never actually seen Die Hard, but I’m gonna argue that It’s a Wonderful Life is a Christmas movie because it’s all about the spirit of community, family and generosity.

Literally every time I read about White Christmas they include the same “fun fact” about Sisters ...we know!

Palmer House ice cream has cherries in it but is a French vanilla base. It’s near impossible to find outside Chicago though.

I like pickles. I like cookies. The two should not meet.

Skookul

Meh, if I need a very small amount I shake it into my hand first. I still think a salt cellar or pig is a bit unsanitary.

I realize it may not always be possible, but if it is…go with that. Most pizza places by me have both their own drivers and use DD/GH

If you need food delivered, your best bet is to find somewhere with in-house delivery. I realize that often limits folks to pizza or Chinese food, but it also means you pay less and what you do pay goes straight to the restaurant.

yes and no - margarine is primarily vegetable oil but most brands have dairy whey or buttermilk in them that make them not-vegan.

I don’t really see the point of salt cellars. I keep a large shaker next to the stove - it’s one of those that often has parmesan or red pepper flakes in it at pizza places. Why would I want to stick my fingers in my salt every time?

Margarine isn’t vegan. But there are a lot of brands that are - Earth Balance is popular, Miyokos, even Country Crock has a plant based brand now.

I’m not vegan but I have friends who are and it’s really not that hard anymore. Egg replacers have come a long way, as have vegan butter options, and many recipes don’t need either -I have a pumpkin chocolate chip cookie recipe that’s very tasty. If you don’t want to eat them, that’s your call, but I can assure you
