I do have a few things in the fridge (like some 18-month-old open sherry) that I should probably toss. But I’m keeping the simple syrup. :P

yeah I thought that was suspicious. I could see if I added something else to it, but otherwise...
I’m really supposed to throw out the homemade simple syrup in my fridge every month? it’s just sugar and water?
well, and I’m a youngish white woman in the suburbs - although I keep hearing about how it’s all soccer moms addicted to opiates now :P
I got T3 and several years later vicodin after dental surgery - the vicodin made me puke, though, so I stuck with ibuprofen. I’m sure I would have had a hard time getting a refill, but the initial prescription was easy.
ECMO saved my dad’s life, at least according to the narrative I got from my aunt (a nurse) and his doctors. But he’d had a pretty serious heart attack, so his life had needed saving a few times before that.
I love Thai food, yum. My go-tos are spicy papaya salad (which is SO hot but I love it so much), pad woonsen, tom yum soup and spring rolls or potstickers. The dishes I eat tend to be fairly veg-heavy but I am not surprised that the American versions feature more meat than the ones you would find in Thailand.
They are not the same coffee. And Peet’s is fine - I’ve had a few solid coffees there - but I did like Caribou a bit better.
I honestly don’t like Temple that much compared with Raiders or Last Crusade (Willie’s shrieking is so annoying) but I do like Short Round.
That is a very real smile from a famously grumpy man and it warms my heart.
I generally use semi-sweet PLUS a roughly chopped bar of dark chocolate. Recommend. Sprinkle of sea salt on top.
I’ve seen that at some restaurants too, and I also like that.
I have had restaurants present me a paper check, then whip out a device as soon as I offer a credit card. I guess that way the option to pay with cash is a little easier.
We definitely knew that.
That depends where you live, though.
We have two grocery stores in my suburb. Guess which two.
My husband is more or less the target demo for these sorts of things — he barely eats any beef and is happy to try chicken alternatives too, though most of the plant-based subs we eat are Impossible. We went from beef burgers to turkey burgers to Impossible burgers, which replicate the flavor of beef more closely…
Don’t know what part of the state you’re in but just off US 20 outside of Middlebury is Country Lane bakery, they have the best cinnamon rolls and sugar cookies ever.
Searches for pie does not necessarily equal it being a favorite.
I just ... nobody needs that much food! Maybe if you’re a football player or a marathon runner, but even one meal of soup or salad, breadsticks and a big ole bowl of carbs is plenty filling. Makes me sleepy just thinking about it.
