Pepe’s is gross, too. There was one, randomly, in my college dining hall in rural Indiana and I just remember it being a salt bomb. Chevy’s was good. There’s a Tijuana Flats near us that’s pretty tasty.

I was a big fan of Don Pablo’s back in the day. I’m not a huge snob but to me that was a bit more authentic - or at least flavorful - than places like Chi Chi’s or Hacienda.

Oh, I fully believe that they are delicious - I am a coffee fiend, after all. I just meant that I don’t fully believe that they are as popular as this website seems to think they are. I dunno, Chicagoans tend to drink a lot of bourbon, which is also my spirit of choice.

I guess I don’t go drinking at traditional bars very often, but I still don’t understand this alleged popularity of espresso martinis.

That’s funny, I have a friend from Poseyville. Well, Wadesville.

You can buy m&ms in bulk online in many colors - we got some custom-printed for our wedding in our wedding colors. Fifteen years ago. It’s not new.

the churros at XOCO are amazeballs.

Apparently you never ventured far from the north side, because it’s been a Beverly institution for, as the article notes, 96 years.

Most of the expansions are suburban - the first permanent location was Lombard (took over an old Buona wholesale - it’s just ice cream + mini donuts). I actually hired the little truck to come for my work’s Pride activities this year and it was a huge hit.

That was a joke, dude. I wasn’t actually complaining about The Youths, I was just gently mocking my own age. Which is 41.

Sure, have at it.

Heh, sorry for the confusing wording.

sigh. yes, I know I’m old. But it’s on cable all the time, it’s a classic.

Well, he was Damian, the “too gay to function” friend along with the gothy art chick.

I haven’t shopped at Aldi a ton, but honestly, I don’t find Aldi that appealing aside from special stuff like this. Either you can get basically the same thing at Trader Joe’s or it’s equivalent to like, Walmart house brand - meh.
