Continued an Altman marathon with McCabe and Mrs. Miller.  Got a lot of Deadwood flashbacks while watching it, which meant I loved it.  Really hard to decide what my favorite Altman movie is so far.  It's between this one and Nashville, with Short Cuts, The Player, Secret Honor, and A Prairie Home Companion still to

Stevie's kids were pretty annoying and terrible, but other than that, classic Eastbound and Down, tricking me into rooting for an unrepentant asshole.

Holy shit.  He's Pep Butt, too!  The man does good work.

Losing Frank Capone hurt too.  Thanks for being a dick, history.

Lot of ripped off Futurama in this one.  Guess we know where those writers are working now.

I just recently saw Dr. Stangelove for the first time, and Scott is maybe the best part of it.  That he is in anyway unhappy with it doesn't make sense.

I'm watching it as a live-action, but smaller scale, version of Earth's Mightiest Heroes.  If it gets better, great.  If it doesn't, it'll at least be interesting to see what Marvel characters pop up.

I'd like to see her smash him with a hammer.  Cleansing your apartment?  Fuck you.

Goddamn, that mid-air knee-bend she did…

Stop it.

Butters as Skyler?  That works.

The memorials may have been out of place, but Edie Falco wrecked me.  Maybe it was because I had just watched Breaking Bad, but her tribute to Gandolfini struck me as one of the most human moments I've ever seen on an awards show.

The Mastrabulators - what Merrick really wanted his Deadwood social club to be about.

This rage headache is killing me.  Fuck Jeff Daniels and fuck the Emmys.

I have a rage headache.  Fast-talking does not equal acting.  The Emmys giveth with Tony Hale and they taketh away with that fuckface from the Newsroom.

Considering that the historical return on stocks is around 9-12% annually, yeah, that's pretty good.  Invest for real.  You're leaving cash on the table.

I only clicked on this review to make sure the community grade was an A.  Well done, commentariat, you do good work.

Would you be able to change your October vacation plans?  There's a spiritual healing seminar in London the same week as your vacation, and I really want to go.

I'd put your problems solely at the feet of the absurd amount of time that goes by in the show.  It's like old sitcoms where something happens just before a commercial break, then the show returns from commercial with the characters at home talking about what just happened, as if they couldn't discuss it on the drive

Well, Aaron, or excuse me, Tute, we'll see you next year if the show gets renewed.
