Nonsense. The ones that have been around since before the prison know they're part of a Ricktatorship, and he's kept them alive. This episode had people on all sides of the issue, but ultimately, they follow Rick because their chances of survival go up drastically with him around.
It would be brilliant to have the Priest simply disappear, no mention of it, no one notices or remembers. Would drive the fanboys apeshit.
It's actually Dan Wilson's musings on chldbirth, but maybe you missed that part.
Hooray, it's my weekly "figure out how to avoid the fucking Steven Universe comments" session. Hey AV CLUB, give SU its own reviews so the commenters don't have to squat in AT reviews.
RE: Amazing Race - My friend was talking to his mom on the phone when his son called out "Tell Nana that we hate the Blacks!"
Catan is a great game, but if you get bad town placements, it's a super long inevitable loss.
Counterpoint: I found Moonrise Kingdom overly twee and snoozeworthy.
You have to include the first 12 issues of 'FF'. (which then continues as its own numbering, Double counting Marvel!
The sooner the writers realize no one wants to see Barry and Iris hook up, and that Linda Park is lightning in a bottle, the better off they'll be. Iris could even be written off the show, and few people would even miss her.
I find it weird that people refer to Iris and Barry as "friends". Considering he was either adopted or under legal guardianship of Joe for 15 years, wouldn't brother-sister be MUCH closer to the mark?
Ben wouldn't take kindly to me just agreeing with everyone and following blindly.
Agreed. And you're right, the character's "postion" certainly changes, but we don't get a dramatic arc from him, which the film could desperately use. The Winter Soldier part is bizarre, as if they originally had a different film, then decided they liked the SHIELD intrigue more, and put WS on the back burner.
I really enjoyed the first Captain America, great feel, wonderful cinematography. Iron Man was fabulous. Iron Man 2 was a trainwreck, one of the worst Marvel films yet. Iron Man 3 was very forgettable, with a climax that became a cliche for Marvel, the overly-long smash bang explosion boring-fest.
I'd agree with most of that, but Cap had exactly no arc in that film. He went from distrusting SHIELD (opening scene with Fury) to ummm distrusting SHIELD. No growth, no change, no stakes. If the film had been about The Winter Solider, there might have been a chance for a dramatic arc.
It's Upvoting time!
I'd watch a dozen Man of Steels before another Guardians.
I found Guardians a pretty average film, with some shockingly bad acting (especially the bad guys). I like Quill, but none of the other characters were entertaining or fun. How can you have a talking raccoon and have him be so unenjoyable. I also did not give a crap about the retarded tree.
Well, that's nonsense, but Marvel has made some decent movies. Avengers was top notch, and Iron Man was great. Neither I'd put ahead of Dark Knight, and nothing else Marvel has made was better than those two.
I've heard it both ways.
